Guys looking happy, I’m glad the losing isn’t getting them down.
I tuned in right when in the 3rd the Wiz went on a run on us. You’re welcome. We never recovered after that.
We need Vassell back asap
Edit: so that we lose in OT or by 5 or less.
just gotta hope they can one day get back to streaking in a positive direction. that those glimpses are building blocks *smiles nervously*
Point Sochan in full effect.
Right on track. Now we just need Ticket prices way down so I can watch the tank Courtside for cheap
I like what I’m seeing from Jeremy though. He can be am elite 2 way stud.
Webby, Jeremy, Keldon, Devin.. that’s a good core to start off with. Add a max veteran scorer/playmaker to the mix and we be rollin’.
Pop is definitely counting down the games until the seasons over and then he’s off to Paris the next day.
Amongst the Best odds for the #1 pick get in boys!!!!
This may have been the most frustrating game of the entire year for me personally. Trey Jones had a symbolic game on the decision making end. Which is so strange cuz he normally makes the right reads or at least tries to. But almost every possession it felt like he was choosing to drive when there were wide open guys, or passing into traffic when he actually had an open shot. Just terrible
Jacob wasn’t much better with his decision making on both ends. Was uncharacteristically nonchalant when asked to facilitate and missed a lot of open cutters. Defensively I thought he looked a bit lazy
Pretty much all of the role. Players were off tonight and again not just in shot making but in decision making. Doug McDermott and KBD took turns taking highly contested shots in situations where it wasn’t needed, going the wrong direction and on the wrong assignments on defense, and looking extremely lost
I won’t say anything negative about Wesley or Malachi since they’re rookies, but they had uneven performances to say the least
I don’t really have too much negative to say about Johnson. He ignored open teammates a few times to attack the rim, but for the most part he was hitting his shots so I don’t have any complaints
The most egregious thing though was with how the team really froze Jeremy out in the second half. If a guy goes 6-8 from the floor in the first half. There’s absolutely no excuse for him Only getting four more shots
And it wasn’t even a Lonnie walker-esque disappearing act where he lost aggression. He was calling for the ball constantly but his teammates continued to wave him off and then panic at the very end and throw him the ball. Hoping he could create something. It resulted in him having to dribble into traffic with nowhere to go or take a couple of contested hail. Mary three-pointers.
He was so good in the first quarter because the team got him the ball early at the top of the key and let him dance on his defender. Really wasn’t complicated stuff. How few opportunities he had to do basic attacks downhill with space after the first 10 minutes or so was shocking and a lot of it really had to do with poor communication from his teammates and again guys looking to get their own shot
Like look Jeremy’s not a god. The team doesn’t have to revolve around him. But it was a great example of just really poor decision making not on an individual basis, but an entire team basis, dooming the club. This kind of thing happens so frequently. It’s shocking. This is a Greg popovitch coach team sometimes
Again I have no problem with the law says. And even in this game there was obviously some good signs such as Jeremy still having a solid game, and really facilitating the ball well
But the lack of talking between the players on defense is starting to get really frustrating. Feels like Jeremy is the only one saying anything at any point in time and everyone else is literally running into each other
The amount of absolutely wide open shots Washington had was comical. If this had been against an actual good offensive team, we would have probably set the season record for most points given up.
KJ figuring out that he is much stronger than most SFs and he can just drive to the rim
Yo, Wizards fan here, I come in peace.
I really love your young talent, especially Jeremy Sochan – a great talent.
[I’ve collected tons of facts & stats from last night’s game (including players from both teams), you are welcome to tell me what ya’ll think!](https://np.reddit.com/r/washingtonwizards/comments/10pu0x6/many_fun_facts_stats_from_the_wizards_127106_win/)
