Here are his career stats per 36 minutes in all his minutes played, all his minutes played with at least one other point guard (Facu, Monte Morris, Jamal Murray, Bruce Brown, or Ish Smith), all his minutes played as the only point guard on the court, and finally his minutes as the only PG and WITHOUT Jokic.

How about Malone stops playing him with other point guards or just not play him? **It’s literally the difference between “out of the league shooting guard” stats or “All-Star point guard” stats.**

If Bones is still on the team after the deadline I wonder if we still see the three PG line up or even BB and him at all. Last season once it was clear Bones was not being traded, Malone *immediately* stopped playing Bones as a shooting guard or small forward and the bench problems immediately disappeared. Boogie helped a lot, but the statistical difference is so staggering, I don’t think he was the sole reason Bones’ minutes went from almost neutral to worst defense in the league. I think being undersized at 4-5 positions whenever you’re on the court is a big factor.

He also has an inability to hit his shot when there’s another PG out there, it is for sure a giant flaw in his game right now, but there’s no reason to be leaning into it as a team.

I personally wouldn’t trade Bones, I know he’s been a liability for a while now with his hero ball and decision making, but I believe if not this season, next season he may get only better and better. He’s a crowd pleaser, fan favourite, he loves the culture in Denver and fits in, and I think coach needs to figure out a bench lineup that works better than the ones we’ve been using. I think once Bones bulks up, gets strong, has that consistency, learns to have better bbiq, he’ll be a force to be reckoned with imho

Just confirmed: Bones to Brooklyn for Durant and Markieff Morris

We aren’t going to get anything that makes up for what we lose. I get the win now mentality, but they made the decision to make Bones the back up point gard after half a season of experience and they need to give him time to figure it out and prove himself.

  5. but If Tim Connelly is willing to give us a massive over pay. Then we have to do it right?

  6. No way we should trade him .. we need a PG from bench like him

One of the things i keep seeing is that we’re looking for a defender in return. Why don’t we just play Christian braun more? Is there a better wing defender that we can get?
