San Antonio Spurs 50th Anniversary | Back Home In The Dome Game, January 13, 2023

In celebration of 50 years of Spurs basketball, the San Antonio Spurs returned to the Alamodome for a regular season game against the Golden State Warriors and to break the NBA single-game attendance record with 68,323 fans. The night included pregame festivities, a light show, a halftime performance by 90’s hip-hop duo Tag Team, fireworks and more!

  1. Let me try this again, cause it seemed after I posted my comment on the original video, they deleted the entire thing. The game was a pretty decent experience overall and the arena had an energy I hadn’t felt at a Spurs game in a long time. Some of the things I loved included the starting lineups, the light show we made with our phone’s flashlights, the original sounds they played during the game, and Tag Team at halftime was cool too. We even all started doing the wave so that was fun to be a part of. But the main thing I didn’t like was that our seats felt like nosebleeds when they weren’t even close to the nosebleeds (they said they were in the plaza level). The court felt so far away and we could barely see what was going on at times. I just wish the court had been more centered and slightly elevated (like what they did for the final four a few years back) and not blocked by other people sitting on bleachers by the court. Not to mention there was this big gap between where we were sitting and those bleachers. It was still cool to be a part of history nevertheless, but just wish it could’ve been more “viewable” or something. Oh well, still a fan though.
