it's true that draymond's stats is not accurately reflecting his performance on the floor…nba has been giving too much credit to scorers..
The two wins was a joy but a 26-24 record is still volatile. WINNING ALL OF THE GAMES and no gift wraps that leads to losing IS GUARANTEED. The situation are all beatable. Now other teams are losing too that is why the 26-24 record seems okay but truthfully speaking it IS NOT OKAY. The Warriors of today despite you being the Champs seems not so dominant unlike when the KD Curry two season championship, even the bout with Toronto was a dominant period minus the Finals Game 6 lost. Now wishing Dubs be dominant ain't gonna happen because the trend looks like this: DUBS CAN SURGE AND SCREW AT THE SAME TIME SIMULTANEOUSLY, watch the 50 games carefully and admit it, there was not much dominance. Maybe NBA teams have reached the equilibrium of equality, the rosters of every team have been similar to others so any team can be candidates for a championship. Unlike in your earlier years, it is easy to say you'll win it but of course the road to win really ain't easy because there were teams back then who almost won. Disagree with the steals and rebounds! Whoever secures the ball should get the stat because if you deflect the ball or tap it, it can end in the other team hands too so just because you touch the ball doesn’t mean you should get credited with the rebound or steal..

I agree with you Dray regarding Jaren Jackson… and I know that he will be an even greater defender if he can limit his fouls and prevent himself from consistently fouling out. Like, I understand he is a great shot blocker, but it’d also be nice if he defended like Jonathan Kuminga who is able to limit an offender’s floor space (he does not need to necessarily block, but his presence makes it difficult for SGA to shoot well).

Draymond is absolutely correct on the missed stats. In fact I noticed many years ago …and all the way to date…how quite a few Warriors players had weirdly missed stats. Particulary Curry and Draymond.
I always thought it was a miss on the Warriors' end though, but now as I listen to Draymond, I'm not so sure.
As a bit of proof, I noticed how Curry is considered a bad defender, yet he sometimes leads the team in steals and rebounds in some games. Now ask any analyst and that analysist will insist that Steph is a weak defensive player. Yet, they didn't have a thing to say when Steph made his defensive skills obvious during the 2021-2022 title run, where he was also stripping balls and got those many timely rebounds. THAT'S DEFENSE!!!
So yeah, I hear Draymond on the missed stats deal, and yeah it would be great if someone with authority and/or clout were to look into that.

Steals and rebounds are easy to attribute to the wrong people. Tips are being counted as the rebound for the person who secures the ball instead of the tipper. Same for steals.
Good point about the betting. The casinos/bookies will know for sure if there has been padding and wont pay out if there is anyway to avoid it. A booky wouldnt pay out on a Messi related combo bet due to argument over whether it was a shot or a cross, during the WC. Seems to be more convenient anti Grizz feeling to leave hanging out there.

betting ruins the game for me… bets on individual players or certain stats makes you care less about the team outcome of the game. I appreciate the game less when I bet, so I no longer do… that, and gambling is more or less a scam as odds are skewed to the house's favor.

So down the stretch of the 4q of this nuggets v warriors game I check my parlay for 10 to win 435. Everything else on the slip had already cashed except draymond needed one more steal, the only thing though is that there was less than 2 minutes in the game and he had 5 fouls. Immediately I thought there’s no way he gets a steal with 5 fouls rn… seconds later the announcer “AND DRAYMOND PICKS JOKICS POCKET” BOOM right there he stole the ball to cash my parlay and more importantly clinch the game for the dubs. I didn’t even have time to complain to my friends about what I thought was going to be a bad beat. Never doubt draymond green in the playoffs. Counting numbers are very important in the sense that players get paid based on them. The question is whether or not there is an absolute standard as far as things like steals and blocks are in place. On a backtap for example, who gets the rebound?
What is incredible is often the things that can't be counted. Chris Webber tells the story of how MJ blocked the bus during the playoffs in 96. I was told the story right after it happened. What it really was, was that you had to get off the bus and walk past him. You couldn't get around it. Like walking past the yard with the mean dog that you know is not on a leash or rope. And he did ask "which one of y'all MFers guarding me?" The phisiolological response occurs but the stat keeper is totally unaware, as are the fans, the GM and the media. That move essentially ended the series. What is the value of Shaq being pissed? How valuable is it to know someone is playing for numbers or a milestone? Did you know when Karl Malone got mad at the refs, his game completely crumbled? Numbers are very important, but so are other things. I am hard on analytics because they are only a single tool. If they are your guiding light, you can and will be sent packing. Some play checkers. Some play chess. Some play Xiangqi. Some get into other stuff.
