When the Washington Wizards used the 10th overall pick on Wisconsin guard Johnny Davis it was a weird pick to me. It wasn’t that I didn’t think Davis was worth a top 10 pick. I had a prospect grade on him that met the value of a top 10 pick asset. He was a tough, physical scoring guard that could hit tough shots, and was a good defender. However the Wizards made moves to acquire and retain proven guard/wings. Which has made the path time to minutes for Davis would be tough. And so far we’ve barely seen him play in the NBA, as he’s spent more time in the g-league. So what exactly is going on here?

He's not that good. He shouldn't get minutes. The wizards need to re analyze what we look for in the draft. Other teams are getting solid production from 2nd rounders and we can't get good production from top 10 picks smh
I get your point. But it seems like Davis isn’t fitting in the league either way. The guy is struggling in the G-League. He needs to just develop his game and work with Beal. Beal and Davis have similar games and mentorship can help. Look at Steph and Jordan Pool. That mentorship and player development helped so much. I won’t count out any rookie. The guy is young and I’m rooting for him.
