Ugliest offensive game of the year
Literally any other day we win that game comfortably by 15.
No worries here, Sixers got lucky to catch us on our worst shooting night of the year
I’d sure like a shooter with our draft pick.
Basket could have been the size of beach ball today and it wouldn’t have helped us with how we were shooting.
When is the FO gonna get the memo about the offense
Had every opportunity to take this W but just couldn’t hit a shot down the stretch to save our lives.
Oh well, onto the next.
6-39 from 3 💀
If we just shot it decently from 3 and made most of our FTs, would’ve been another win.
But once again, our lack of shooting does us in. Did everything right but hit the long ball and that’s what sucks.
Year after year, this front office does very little if anything at all to address this issue.
Before the doomsayer start: good game, good effort, great defense. Cursed rim.
Thx for trying guys.
And while I know you have to take open 3, maybe try to get to the rim now to build confidence. That’s all I can add.
Felt like we were the better team on an off night.
Fletcher Magee to the magic
Happy to live and die by the hand of Fraolo, this is the season to work it out. Sloppy game and bad shooting but we hung in there the whole time, very nice to get one of two.
We need reliable shooters in the worst way
I’m not mad at the players. I’m not mad at the coach. I’m not mad at the refs (ok maybe I’m a lil mad at the refs). The energy and effort was there tonight. And I’m not mad that the players kept shooting wide open 3s because they were wide open.
I’m mad at the FO for building a team with only one reliable 3 point shooter on the roster. That is where the fault lies in games like tonight. Effort like the team gave SHOULD have led to a win. Great defensive play against one of the best offensive teams. But sub 40% shooting means you will lose every time. And that is entirely on the lack of spacing this roster has.
Please for the love of god trade for a guy like GTJ
Not really that bad considering we shot 15% from 3 and missed 7 free throws, the hustle and defense was on point we were just off. David and Jeff were talking about a draft in the arena at some point, maybe some tampering🤔🤔🤔
If they shoot just 25% from three and make a couple free throws in the first half they win this game.
Idk how to feel about that lol. Like good because it’s an incredibly off-shooting night and they kept it competitive…. But not so good because it was a fucking AWFUL shooting night. Like holy shit.
Paolo Clankchero tonight. Likewise, atrocious game from Franz.
Paolo has done this all season. He’ll start out with a blazing fast start, and then conversely fall off entirely in the 2nd half. Need more consistency.

6-39 from 3 is the difference in this game. The majority were quality looks. We should have won this game going away.
Garbage 4th quarter offense. Our defense was good enough to keep us in it, why tf were we continuing to shoot 3s?? We could’ve just played normal offense and got shots inside, instead we try to be the Warriors and lose. This is on both the players for being dumbasses and coach for not telling them to cut that shit out and get into the paint.
For the love of god I want him to be good but he isn’t right now stop giving bol minutes if you have to have admiral fill in then so be it the guy is horrendous on defense his 3 ball hasn’t been falling in a while and he’s a turnover machine I like him as a project he’s got potential but this team is fighting for a play in spot and he’s a net negative at this moment.
Not mad with this loss. Team kept on fighting in all but just couldn’t hit their 3s. Could have had better shot selections though.
Suggs was great. Straight up disruptive. Looks like the minutes restriction is over since he came in before Cole.
Wendell & Fultz were good as well.
Great effort there but its just one of those nights where we just cant hit shots, shit happens. On to the next game
When two of your players shoot above 40% from the field in a game you’ll definitely have a tough time winning lol. That said, we’re still a developing team, as much as some would like us not to be already. Nights like this remind us that Paolo is just a rookie. Franz is just a second year player. These guys aren’t *supposed to* be as good as they have been most of the year, and an off-night has to and will happen for these guys eventually too; just a shame most of our team happened to have an off night on the same one.
As far as positives go… Suggs i guess? Functional efficiency (particularly nice from 3), ok-ish shot selection (other than on his missed threes, particularly the second one), and my goodness, his defense on Harden and Maxey’s been disgusting. 5 steals in 26 minutes is crazy (also notice Harden with 7 TOs). I so hope he can stay healthy and actually have a healthy off-season to work on his game this summer, unlike the last one. Beyond that, not much else good to say about tonight’s Magic, but again, it’s just been an off night for most our guys at once. HOPEFULLY it won’t happen again.
Onto the next one.
We mighta had a chance if this was a football game
Not much to say other than I blame coaching/FO. Yes the missed shots and free throws are a big story but the non synergistic lineups that keep giving up 15 pt runs is a bigger story imo. Everytime this coach made a change it first starts with the Sixers making a huge run, only to be matched by a similar run by the Magic. This team has players who are clearly offensive minded, those who are defensive minded, some who are a healthy mix, and 1 who is neither. The 1 neither player Bol Bol with no offensive or defensive game is seemingly given so many chances compared to other players on the team who have shown so much more and have been a positive force for this team.
I actually dont think Bol was that bad this game, but Moe/Bol lineup is terrible. They arent centers neither of the two of them, they arent interior defenders, arent rim protectors, statistically Bol is a slasher with no shot and Moe is only good at mid-range shots. https://www.reddit.com/r/washingtonwizards/comments/10pf4vr/dynamic_duotop_8_rim_protectors/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

It’s disappointing that this team would prefer to lose than actually play players according to their actual on court play or synergy with their teammates. I honestly believe this is just tanking at this point. Again I actually dont think Bol or Moe were that bad this game but they dont work good together, neither of them can play center, and they need somebody to fill in that rim protector spot for them and also be an actual spacer for them if they are going to be on the court together. If they dont have Mo/JI in, Bol/Moe should never see the floor together.
Bol, Terrance, mo and picks for Gary Trent and a decent back up big soon please
Not too fussed about this loss. Shots didn’t go in, it happens. Defensive effort was great. Suggs’ defense has been a revelation, if he can work on a semblance of a good offensive game he will have a long career in this league.
The Sixers are a good team. Any team with Embiid and Harden will be competitive. But I find it very hard to believe that they are serious contenders. They have very limited wing options. The fact that they have PJ Tucker starting will limit them offensively. He’s still great defensively, but provides nothing else.
Harden and Maxey both offer nothing defensively so they can’t really play together against high end teams.
Hot take – I would be interested in seeing Dell at the 4.
Need to draft a trey murphy type wing
fultz wanted a nice homecoming sweep seemed like the rest of the team didn’t feel the same
If only we weren’t so ass at shooting the basketball. FML
