This game is so much more a testament to how wrong Sean Marks has been putting this team together. The priority was always to get shooting around KD/Kyrie. 4 years in, it’s always been just that. Meanwhile teams like Boston, Philly, Milwaukee prioritized defense, athleticism, and toughness first. We’re smaller, slower, and weaker than all of these teams. 4 years in, and physical teams still give us problems. It just has been synonymous with this organization, even before KD and Kyrie (remember how puny we looked against Philly in the 2019 playoffs). Sean Marks, how much more proof do you fucking need – get some much needed athleticism and size on this roster please.

Can we trade Seth Curry already? Him scoring 20 points every 5 games doesnt matter. He is unplayable vs Boston.

  3. SwishBreak

Im numb to these Celtics loses atp. They only exist as a reminder that this roster has glaring flaws that need addressing, but I dont trust Marks to address them.

I feel like a broken record but we need tons more size, we need paint penetration, we need toughness and we need to stop playing guards that are soft asf and are cones on defense. Sean Marks will get us a cheap backup big at the deadline and think that solves everything but it wont. We need to replace Seth in the guard rotation, we need a servicable wing and we need a backup big

Also we very clearly need Simmons healthy and playing. This game is a friendly reminder that we aren’t better without him

  4. Delicious_Farmer_408

We can’t beat this team for shit bruh

  5. souttous

    Joe Harris is so worthless

I’m 5’8” but I take one look at him and it’s BBQ chicken

  6. algorand819

Harris got 4-7 in 3, mission accomplished

  7. gleeson630

If you watched this game you’re valid. The real homies gotta stick together in this sub

Ben Simmons you’re not included in this.

  8. Old-Vermicelli-8678

I can’t make any conclusions from this game because it felt like nothing went right for us but it went fantastic for them. There are games like that in the NBA where no matter how good you are or how good the other team is.

  9. brook_lyn_lopez

Shout out Sumner for the team leading -1

  10. Real_Killer_661

Y’all worse with Simmons off the court than with him on the court how is that even possible lol

  11. Greynevermatter19

Is this our ‘culture’ Sean Marks?

  12. DaShawn_Simms2493

It’s amazing how the Knicks somehow manage to beat them but the Nets couldn’t.

  13. KingofthisShit

This game better be a wake-up call for us like the Kings game was when we didn’t have KD and JV needs to learn how to adjust to play whoever has the hot hand.

  14. depressedpr0phet

Yo what happened to Yuta? He’s hurt now?

  15. Infamous-Example-483

So bad I just ordered a cheesecake, & I’m on Keto diet. This hurt to watch. Lbs

  16. That first quarter was traumatizing. I need therapy.

  17. just_so_irrelevant

Tonight was the compounding of many factors not within our control. KD, Ben, and TJ all injured. Generationally cold in the first quarter. Celtics anomalously hot the entire game. It’s an incredibly unlucky mixture that turned into a major blowout. Shit happens

Tonight was basically a guaranteed loss but a loss this bad is NOT a reflection of our team OR its construction. Our roster is still flawed, mind you, and we still need trades ASAP, but losing by 40+ is not in our cards normally.

P.S. I hope Simmons haters here use this as a wake up call and realize just how much of a silent net positive he is when we play bigger teams like this.

  18. AngusKing

Don’t play zone against the Celtic next time please , they have wide open 3 every possession.

  19. There is absolutely no reason why Sean marks should have a fucking job at this point. It goes to show you that the lack of accountability on this franchise as a whole starts at the top.
This team has kyrie and kd at their peak and surrounded them with literal garbage cans

He gave up a first round pick for Royce O’Neal who’s averaging under 10 ppg despite playing 35 mpg.

He didn’t do his due diligence on Ben Simmons and traded Harden for him.

He gave his friend Patty Mills 7 million instead of resigning Bruce Brown. He failed to aquire a backup big. Failed to aquire any sort of backup point gaurd. I have seen ZERO RUMORS of the nets being active at the trade deadline for one of the raptor players.

This dude FUCKING SUCKS AT HIS JOB. FIRE HIM.

  20. Knomp2112

I just don’t get when a player is in obvious pain the coach atill keeps him in the game during garbage time.

  21. artworx18

Without Ben and KD, the starting lineup’s lack of size and athleticism is exposed.

  22. I choose to believe that they lost so badly to show marks that he has to get off his ass and do something

  23. VisibleAdvance6036

the official nets twitter account is usually very active but tonight they literally only posted at half and final

  24. depressedpr0phet

Apparently our Vegas boosted our odds to winning the championship earlier today, which has made people speculate that there are trades currently in progress. I’ll believe it when I see it

  25. Champloon

No silver lining this game. We stunk shooting wise and they were as hot as the sun. Hopefully marks makes some moves and we get a new win streak going after this stinker.

  26. Steph_Curry_GOAT

We gotta get the third seed so we can dodge them in the second round and pray the Bucks or someone upset them

  27. ImJustHere4Fun

We know who the Nets are:

When healthy, they can beat anyone; when not, they can compete with anyone.

But they’ll always have bad losses either way. Most teams do.

  28. cannoball_dookie

Pretty wild performance from the c’s. I swear they only missed from 3 if they were wide open. Gotta tip ya cap when it’s happening.

Gotta be said, and I understand he ain’t playing as well as people want. But Ben’s defense was sorely missed tonight. Not that it changes a whole lot. C’s were outstanding tonight.

Anyway, life sux etc etc. I’m over it. Onto the homestand. Hopefully yuta OK and we can get tj back soon.
