How’s everyone feel after the amazing game we played?
Sad loss but a little positive take I’ve had with the game is that the defense wasn’t that bad especially in the 1st half. Props to JP for actually being good defensively today. Props to Minny for hitting tough and timely shots. That Kuminga block was nice. I hope Kerr tries to play him more tomorrow
I hope we solve the balance issue this team has in the offseason. We need more 6-6 and up players (who can defend/shoot). I’m starting to feel Steph + Poole is a sexier version of the Steph + Monta issue. It’s fine for three minute stretches but it just doesn’t hold up in large samples. Jerry West is a wise man.
I know I’ve been on this kick the last few days saying “if you really wanna reshape this team into a more balanced and functional around Steph… Jordan Poole is the dude you move for two proven better fitting players to support the next three years ” but I honestly wanna be proven wrong. The defense isn’t good enough and the guys who raise the play of others are Steph and Dray. Is Simons lifting Dame? We kinda got the same issuecas Portland just in a nicer package. These twin smalls backcourts don’t work unless they are both pitbulls on defense.
It’s so frustrating knowing we’ve left 9 away games on the table with late leads. All we need is an 8 game win streak and you lock up a top 6 seed. It’s defense and focus.
I feel a win coming tonight. After the W’s totally disappoint they usually bounce back hard. No jinxies. Knock on wood. Stamped it
Anyone know when the potential rests might be announced?
The silver lining to Kerr messing around with 3-guard lineups is that we get enough data on which lineups work and which don’t, which will be helpful come playoff time
Hope we run a deeper rotation the next few weeks. Don’t want to drive our stars into the ground this early into the campaign. We have decent personnel, Kerr needs to give them a chance to play
Ever since he came back from injury it feels like every other game Curry becomes the worst NBA player in the 4th quarter. It’s morbidly amazing to witness. Really hopes he stops it soon though it’s becoming very stale very quick.
Gonna be fun watching the best lineup on the team Poole/Ty/Donte/JK/Loondawg cook up in Denver tho. Hopefully we get to see good PBJ minutes too.
