In Episode 1333, Sean Woodley goes solo to react to the Toronto Raptors’ 131-128 loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, in a game that should all but guarantee the Raptors will be sellers at the NBA Trade Deadline next week. Off the top, Sean runs through the remarkably predictable script for the Raptors in their 30th loss of the season, which featured a gimmicky gaming of the possession battle that wasn’t enough to outweigh Toronto’s struggles in the more traditional areas of basketball, an entirely too-short rotation, and no ideas at all on defense. Next, Sean updates where he thinks the Raptors should be leaning with Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr., O.G. Anunoby, Chris Boucher, Pascal Siakam and Malachi Flynn as the deadline approaches. Lastly, Sean runs through the Good (Fred VanVleet’s 34-12-10 triple-double), the Bad (very possibly the Thad Young deal) and the Hmmm (the Raptors… leaking information?!) before rounding out the show. This loss broke my spirit. It’s not fine!

Wish I could LOVE this video! FINALLY someone who agrees with HAVING TO trade OG! Been saying it since the summer/ last year. As for FVV I think he plays out his contract and leaves in the off season. The core is Barnes/ Spicy P/Precious and GTJ. Take that core and build around them with shooters, a Center and BENCH!!! As for Nick Nurse, I love the dude BUT he doesn’t seem to be the right coach for this team and it hurts me to say that. Teams have adjusted to his schemes and he hasn’t been able to come up with any new plays. His last second plays are garbage let’s be honest and his misuse of the bench has definitely hurt us in the long run. As for the front office they’re great but I think the greatness got to there head. We need better out of them. Better drafting and development.

Great point on how demanding our defensive schemes are, especially when we don't have a bench. We were so deep in 2019 and had two amazing bigs and alright in 2020, so it really didn't require this much energy per player.
