  1. It probably makes sense to do that but I just don’t see it happening. Maybe they’ll move plumlee. I’d be kinda sad to see him go, dudes been killing it lately.

    He likely will.

I do want to point out the reason we haven’t made many moves the past few years because we were close to being done with rebuilding and didn’t want to just spend all our assets to coast along or just trade to make a trade.

As much as I am not a fan of his inactivity as a GM he usually makes the right call on FA signings and trades. Hayward was a good signing if he didn’t have glass bones and paper skin, Rozier was a good enough signing since we didn’t have a good guard, Oubre was a phenomenal signing and can potentially get us a good asset or someone who can be a good part of the rotation in the future if for some reason we keep him. Plumlee trade will be an absolute Home Run since we got Thor for the 55th pick and potentially another young piece or valuable 2nd round pick. I know Mitch realizes he can get a decent amount this deadline since we are one of the few sellers.

Mitch is a decent GM. He has us in a better spot being inactive than being trigger happy. Look at Minny for example, they pulled the trigger too quick and shot themselves in the foot. 76ers are a great example of what to do, they could’ve had Lowry but it would’ve come at the cost of Maxey and picks so they stayed put and got Harden out of it the next year and now Maxey looks really good. I’m not saying that we should be patient this deadline btw but our patience over the past few could be beneficial here.

There’s no way we cant find a trade partner for Plumlee and Oubre. Especially those playoffs-desperate but shitty teams like Bulls, Suns, LA, NY, Portland. They fit the needs of those teams too so I’d be surprised if Mitch fails to make a deal
