I’m not concerned still. No Steve o is big and shaky patches happen. Lots oftime left

This game doesn’t really mean much when you have your entire frontcourt out against the biggest team in the league
That being said, I think I’m at peace with my expectations being lowered now unless a serious trade happens

How many NBA champions had a 1-7 stretch at some point in the regular season? Feels like great teams don’t have this long of a stretch of sustained wet fartitude
idontreallyknowchief
Well we’re going to be hated for the next 12 years!
I just hope we can remain near the top of the league during that time.

Our team is fine. I get the frustration from some. But let’s wait before we burn it all down

Have it on good authority that DB is not the only issue and that a trade will not solve everything.

Copying from the game thread, let’s play some bingo
Aight that’s game, let me summarise the r/NBA PGT
* “FiNe iN tHe WeST” * Where is your tik tok dances now Grizzlies?! * Fake tough guys * I used to think the grizzlies were cool but now they are so unlikeable * Someone needs to HUMBLE this team * DAE Dillon Brooks worse than Hitler?? * No fake blocks to help them tonight hurr
Anything I’ve missed let me know
P.s. seeing Rubio and slim Spain interact post game is heart warming
SlobMorant
DBs dumbass making Mitchell get ejected really killed our chances in this game. Be better Dillon!
NickRoweFillea
Yuck. Ugly loss. It’s extremely discomforting how much this team apparently depends on Steven Adams. A lot of the rookies have hit the wall, too. At least Santi is looking good.
new_skool91
Santi 20-10 game though.
jbeast1223
Every time a team gets around that 13 to 14 range of 3pt makes i know we are going to lose we just can’t keep up
donotnut459
Can’t say I’m mad given the circumstances (bigs out, b2b, and refs were awful) but it still pisses me off somehow
Jaggleson
Well we ain’t contending for shit. Phil Jackson rule broken

Multiple injuries and a ejection.. doesn’t surprise me. Once we are fully healthy we are back to where we were‼️🥱💯
cesd3967
Yeah no one should be surprised by this one. Is what it is.

Idk if Dillon’s nutshot was intentional or not, but I’m not gonna defend him to anyone who thinks it was. Terrible look for him, really disappointing
Dogdip
I don’t even know what to expect from this season tbh. Are we trying to contend? Are we still focusing on developing talent? What is this FO trying to do? Think that’s why I’ve been more frustrated with this current roster than any other year’s.
Relevant-Mountain-11
Stevo took a pay cut over the off season? Boy should be asking for a Payrise after this injury…
CausticBurn
What’s the logic of bringing out Z at the end, we could’ve tried putting him on Garland at least.
WonderingCashew
Not too fussed tbh. Just still want to remain clear of the middle of the West need to stop the bleeding
SaladCoffee
We clearly have some question marks in the rotation. Starters are generally fine but when steven or jaren goes out it feels like we get very stagnant.
SquirrelDumplins
Everyone will be talking about the Brooks incident but it’s just one of those things: Mitchell was being a douche, everyone move on (except r/nba simps of course). Watching this team we don’t look like one that can win in the playoffs. Maybe when fully healthy: obviously without JJJ and Steve-o we aren’t contending for shit.
new_skool91
And Bane 6/7 from three on the second night of a back to back. If you’re a sane fan, this was a scheduled loss, so you have to look for something else positive. 28 minutes for Konch? I’m not sure what to make of that. But oh well, the next 3 are at home and we should get back on track.
HarryCarayQuiteCntry
This is a 2nd rd exit team unless we upgraded our shooting. Not getting by the Warriors, Nuggets, or Suns
muddyklux
Here’s some positive takeways: 43.5% from 3.
Only shot 23 3’s which is a great change
Some how won the rebounds
21-22 from the line
We getting there boys. Just need to get healthy
Due-Mycologist1095
Wish I could do something to help the team get their mojo back. Maybe some talented Grizz redditor can sew up a compilation of the greatest plays of each player and post it in an appreciation thread. Who knows, maybe the players will see it and realize “Wait, we can do these things before. For sure we can do it again!”
I love this team. But that also means it hurts when things like these happen. And things like these been happening a whole lot lately.
idontreallyknowchief
We won the rebounding battle. It did not seem like that at all.
OrangeTwelve
Okay, so it seems everyone agrees Steve-o is extremely important to this team. Instead of just giving away losses and blaming him being out, can we address that the team shouldn’t be so reliant on a player who isn’t even part of the main options on the team? Ja, Bane, and Jaren are clearly the trio to build around. If we bottleneck on Steven Adams, the coaching is a problem
CauliflowerDue3390
Taylor Jenkins has to be better. He had a chance to coach the All Star Game. Gotta capitalize on that.
Gotta be able to make adjustments and recognize when you need tougher players like X to play more.
And finally, gotta stop benching every single player that is in foul trouble. Sometimes, they have to learn to play through fouls. You can make an exception for Jaren but you can’t be afraid of playing Ja or Bane or others with 3 fouls in the 2nd quarter.
Bookst4r
There’s some good things to takeaway from this game. Good free throw shooting, shot well from 3. Circumstances meant this was always going to be tough game.
Tryitout16
Why is konchar on our team 😒😪.. he’s been useless for a while now

Our plans to stop sucking were thwarted by still sucking. Very tough scene
