    I think the NBA went too far with the fan voting – it should MAYBE be something like 20% of the results, but whatever it is, the fan voting is frankly, stupid. And it isn't just stupid because some of the fans are stupid, but because the voting itself is stupid – unlimited voting? With multipliers? It is ridiculous and almost ensures that regardless of performance, some players will never end up as ASG starters, because it is not only a popularity contest, it is a (mostly) rigged popularity contest that favors major markets and fan manipulation.

    I like Olynyk in this trade rumor even more than Vanderbilt, he's currently the starting PF on the Jazz roster, Vanderbilt is third string. When grading him on the stat metrics in NBA PF's @28 MPG, he's ranked 12th in FTA, 4th in FT%, 5th in 3P%, 16th in 3PM, 9th in APG and 5th in SPG, and it will enable the play of Grant in his natural SF position. I'll take this trade for Hart any day.

    Olynyk would be a coup d'état [pronounced Coo-day-Tah] for the front office if he can be included. Vanderbilt should be viewed as a bonus with other advantages and disadvantages.

    I would predict that if this trade goes through, it will be Olynyk, not Vanderbilt starting at the 4 slot. V will back him @4 and Grant @3 up so we can go big. Say buh bye to the failed munchkin small-ball, buh bye!

    I see a Nurk trade on the horizon if he’s not included in this trade. Would the cellar dwellers with copious cap space take him for a first round pick?

    The big question is: Does Billups have the mindset and expertise to optimize that team?

    Didn't realize who Vanderbilt was until I Google image searched him. Yeah, after seeing him play a couple times this year I would love for the Blazers to pick him up!

    I'd expand the roster to 15 just like the regular roster…there are easily 30 all-stars in the league
