I find it interesting with all the bitching we’ve been doing about the Mavericks losing that it seems that damn near everyone else in the west have been losing too.. Compared to this time last year it feels like more of a disappointing season at this point, however we are only one game behind in the win column as the 3rd place team.

The West is so bad this year. We’ve been playing bad and are still 4th. This is more of a reason to go after some trades. If we have everybody healthy and make a good move or two, we are right in contention.
Good thing we get to play the kings back to back at the end of a 5 game road trip
Mavs get it together. Make a few trades and get a top 6 seed. It’s wide open, no stupid tanking for some dude that 1 we won’t get and 2 will miss the year with a effed up foot, probably.
Make the moves. Stop playing stupid rec league ball and make a run.
I really want the team to overtake the Kings by All-Star break. But the Luka injury really hurts this roadtrip.

I want a trade, but I don’t want to lose Josh, Finney Smith, Kleber or Dinwiddie for Kyrie or LaVine. I like our guys, we have had some heath issues. If we could add a Bogdanovic or a THJ/LaVert swap I’d be happy. Our top 7 haven’t had enough time on the court yet.

And it’s taken a historic year out of luka just for the mavs to tread water and be 2 games up from being an 11 seed.

I don’t come here after losses because it’s just such a hive of negativity. You’d think we’re dead last in the league judging by our fans, not actively competing in the most competitive West we’ve seen in a while.
You’re not even a bad team, you just struggle with inconsistency, injuries, and lack of a true second option. The amount of shit takes you see on this sub of overreactions about some players is some of the worst I’ve ever seen this year
One way or another this road trip is gonna be nerve wracking.
Talk about crazy! Other than Denver and Memphis, nobody else is running away in the race for playoff seedings in the West! I’m wondering whether all of the injuries (Luka, Steph Curry, Zion, etc.) have watered down the competition among Western Conference teams at this point.

If we had Brunson it would be us versus Denver for the number one spot. And we could go into the deadline looking to add a Bogdan or someone to shore up the team.

Just goes to show no matter how dysfunctional we think we are and how much we freak out, there are at least 11 other teams in the west that are freaking out more than us (I guess minus the teams who are actively tanking)
