In the endless negative/doomer posts, just wanted to say I love the Lakers. When it’s easy or when it’s hard.

Absolutely die hard fan through thick and thin.

But it definitely hurts more when you shoot yourself in the leg and let it get infected because you don’t have a plan after the fact.

  2. I remember those days when a Steve Blake game winner over the Dwight era rockets was amazing

Just sad we’re not supporting AD and whatever time we have left with Bron

If we don’t trade Westbrook, we can officially start a riot. Right now, I feel fine cause Kyrie Irving would not solve our problems

Complacency does not make you a better fan than anyone else

  6. I also don’t agree with the constant whining and complaining, but I get it – they’re passionate and want their team to win. It shows they care at least.

It’s because I love the Lakers that I’m pissed, lmao.

  8. 3 days ago nobody here was thinking about kyrie. Just move on and try to get a guy like van vleet or gary trent jr

I remember when I felt like this. No longer. The owner doesn’t care, so I don’t care.

At the end of the day, I bleed purple and gold. I was around during the Marcelo huertas days, and even the chris kaman bench meme days. Doesn’t matter to me

I love the Lakers too. They’ve been a big part of my life for over 40 years. That’s why I’m so bummed that they’ve fallen off a cliff.

  12. Bigrab2019

Everyone here loves the lakers. That’s why we hate the FO

I’ve been a Lakers fan for 30+ years. There’s always been fair weather fans and the “sky is falling” crowd.

Jeremy Lin fans were the most insufferable imho.

But alas, they come and they go.

I feel bad for Darvin. He doesn’t get to add another 6’2 guard for his collection.

Normally I’d say the same. But we have LeBron and AD and we are pissing it away. The Kyrie trade would have fixed a lot of issues.

Oh don’t get it twisted.. we ride or die with the purple and gold.. its the fucking FO/owners/pelinka that makes the vitriol spill out..

  17. FrenzyTotems

I’d take this current lakers situation x100 anyday over Jim buss/Kupchak Mozgov/Deng era

Amen. Been a Lakers fan for a supermajority of my life now and I don’t know about you guys, but when shit gets tough I tell myself basketball is a game at the end of the day–there are gonna be winners and losers–and I move on.

But a ton of Lakers fans seem to not be able to go back to other parts of their lives. Instead they just want to vent their most negative emotions and irrational takes with no filter. To me that’s not only unhealthy for themselves but also toxic for the community at large. I wish things aren’t like this.

I was born a Laker fan and I will die a Laker fan. From Del Harris to Darvin Ham and anyone after.

I do too but man, if people are right that we keep westbrook and lebron (possibly AD too) request a trade I will seriously be heartbroken. I’m so frustrated with Russ and FO right now. Ugh.

This is great and nice to see. Much better than all the negative posts and comments. Thank you!

listen, this is 100% a play in type team. simply not enough consistency over 82 games, not even quarter to quarter to be confident they’d land 1-6. we got off to a disproportionatley bad start, so it is what it is.

we could have went .500 in those first ten games and we’d be above .500 now. this team was always going to have a curve with russ’ new role and a new head coach. this team was always going to have a stretch with no ad. the season is *not* over, this is what the expectation should have been.

i’m still betting on a play in berth. you can spin that positively when considering the probable 1/2 seed by the end of the season.

Really spoiled for being an active Laker fan for 25+ years. We’ve ate really well for so many years and the lean years were tough.

That being said, we’re spoiled! Other franchises would truly give up so much for even one championship and we got 17!

To live and die in LA.

  24. izzyllamas

We have 17 chips, and just won one in 2020. We are spoiled, far more success than anyone.

  25. “I will not watch another Lakers game, the season is over”- Proceed to check the schedule for the next game.
