Yea, if the reports are true that the Lakers would’ve done the trade if Irving had signed a 2-year extension, then yea, that’s also an indicator they would’ve paid the repeater since I don’t think you can realistically build a team with AD, LeBron, and Kyrie on a 2-year max salary extension without paying the tax.
