Who’s we, he was always garbage

  2. Nice_Complaint_2602

nope. always knew he was going to be a bench player at best

  3. ATLs_finest

He’s shooting 40% from the field and 25% from three. It’s funny looking back at it that we were so reluctant to include THT in trade packages and we chose him over Caruso only for THT to barely be a rotation player on a tanking team.

  4. ThunderClown101

He fooled everyone with his fancy reverse layups.

This turned out to be the only way he could finish.

  5. keepon18

I swear he gained back all his weight this off-season from when he was drafted, like seemingly overnight from being a Laker to a Jazz player.

  6. AwildYaners

He was probably one of the least liked prospects the Lakers drafted since Anthony Brown.

The hate/expectations went through the roof when they kept him over AC too.

I still think he can develop into a decent player; he just never fit the timeline. The Bron/AD chip window is/was now, not 2-3 years.

Remember when fanbase cried about Lakers trading for PatBev?

  8. KyrieWetUpCurry_

He honestly might be out the league after this contract

  9. To start last year the lakers really called him a 3nD wing 🤣🤣😵😵

  10. hansislegend

He’s still 18, bro. He has potential.

  11. BoysenberryJunior294

How our first round picks are going to turn out :

  12. paraMAYBE_DO_LESS

I got downvoted for saying he was basically a worse Westbrook on a better contract

  13. levantoo

I’ll never forgive the FO for choosing him over Caruso.

  14. im-a-drawl

The only thing THT has that impressed me is his wingspan. I thought with that wingspan maybe he could become a legit defender. Him getting $10 mil a year was a favor to Klutch.

  15. Quantumsystem00

One of the most jack of all trades guys ever in the league

  16. MatthewTheShapeShftr

THT peaked for the lakers when they put him in during the playoffs against the rockets.

  17. Icy_Quit_7177

This dude stole 20 million dollars without proving shit

  18. Caruso one of the best defenders in the league and FO inked this dude 😄

  19. Nerdygamer650

He was this eras Shannon brown. Flashy and nice addition when you have a bunch of stars but not worth building a franchise around. You could always tell he was the “hype” move.

  20. FOs fascination of him was always so strange. Not sure about the rest, but didn’t seem to have improved in his tenure here. His upside, his “7ft wingspan” became a meme & for a dude with such a wingspan refused to dunk & resorted to his weird reverse layups w/ the non dominant hands

  21. There’s no we in all of you guys! I didn’t think he ever lived up to the fan created hype.

  22. valleykid818MD

Getting played out of the Drew League as an NBA player against fed -ex and ups driver left this man broken lol

  23. rjbarrettfanclub

I always maintained he was a horrible g-league level talent. Couldn’t shoot, play-make, or defend at an NBA level. I have no reason why anyone thought an undersized slasher who can’t shoot or read the game would be a good player in the modern league.

  24. We? Never was a fan of his game on the Lakers. He never finished with his left hand and was a terrible fit alongside LeBron & AD’s game.

  25. I was jumping for joy when we traded his ass

  26. We let Caruso go for THT, just to trade him for a worse and older version of what Caruso does.

    Makes me sick

  27. Well on the bright side at least it kept us from trading for washed-up Kyle Lowry.

  28. RevCottonM

Do I have it wrong? wasn’t it Bron who scouted THT all the way back to high school to Klutch sports? and Caruso’s agent is from Wasserman soo… doing the math…

Maybe it’s all just a coincidence

  29. Pikminious_Thrious

I’m traumatized from when they tried to make him a 3 and D player. Can’t shoot 3 and can’t play D.

  30. incorruptible61

In THT’s defense there were a couple games and stretches where he wasn’t missing, finishing at the rim and made his threes. It seemed like there was lots of potential to grow and everyone loved his KD like wingspan, but it was smoke and mirrors.

  31. tergerter

When I heard Kevin O’Connor from The Mismatch hyping him, I knew he would be a bust.

  32. GeorgeLovesBOSCO

A lot of the time we disparage nba players by saying stuff like “haha Russ sucks! Go join the Shanghai Sharks!!” and its usually not true. Russ might be ass but he’s an nba player. THT isn’t an nba player. I’d be shocked if a team throws a minimum at him.

  33. motorboat_mcgee

Why shouldn’t we root for and hype up our players? He didn’t work out for us, but he was young and showed flashes of potential so it makes sense to be hopeful. I don’t get this thread.
