Well…. Caris’s contract is probably how we acquire said wing. This is just smoke so Koby can cook

He’s gonna be our franchise 6 man for the next few years and no one wants to believe it.

Does Caris make some bone head moves sometimes? Sure. But I’ll be damned if he isn’t always giving 100% and makes some really fun plays. He also seems to have great chemistry with the rest of the team. I’d love to see him remain in a Cavs jersey tbh

I’m not content with it.

We’re gonna regret that

Trade him before it’s too late

Trading an expiring contract for the sake of “using” a perceived asset is silly. His contract coming off of our books is just as valuable here as anywhere else.

Id rather not.

The team is finally mostly healthy, and as a result players are becoming more comfortable in their positions in the rotation.
Considering how weak our bench currently is, I don’t see an issue with having Caris be one of our primary bench guys this year, and maybe even moving forward after that. Not really sure if making a trade just to make a trade makes sense right now.

Somebody mentioned this in the Reddish thread but what we really need is a backup big with Love being a huge question mark and Lopez being more of a meme than a legit option

LeVert is redundant right now, and we don’t need wing help nearly as much as we need a backup big. Right now, the “big” coming off of the bench is Wade. Which means that also has Okoro playing time at the 4 situationally depending on foul trouble or the matchup.
Wade is a fine shooter, but he doesn’t bring the inside presence or especially the rebounding we want from our bench big. The especially even bigger issue is with Wade getting those minutes means that we are required to play Cedi in this rotation, and he shouldn’t be getting extended minutes on his “off” nights because when he’s off he’s bad.

I don’t think they’ll trade him, even though I wouldn’t be against it and this sub sure as hell isn’t. I’m also fine with keeping him too.
But I really wondered why Love has been sitting for a while. His thumb maybe, but I have a feeling they’re manning the phones trying to get something for him.
