Making Luka play the 2?! making one of them come off the bench?! they both play the same exact position! and its not only that, Kyrie as much as an amazing player he is, he is also kinda of a diva, and dont see this diva wanting to share the spotlight with Luka. I could be wrong but, I dont see this working for the Mavs or Kyrie.
Kyrie will join the Lakers this summer. Lakers didn’t deplete their roster. Dallas loosing Kyrie this summer will leave them with a sub par roster. One less competitor for the Lake Show. Unfortunately exactly what is best for LA. LeBron is just playing along so the door is open this summer.
The mavs shouldnt have entered the trade pool for kyrie unless they wanted to use him as a trade piece. And I think thats exactly what theyr going to do. Hopefully thisoffseason we something go down because two superstar guards just wont cut it and te warriors backs up that statement.
Imagine the Mavericks take it one step further and trade THJ, Bertans and McGee to the Lakers for Westbrook and his expiring contract. The Lakers would get spacing which they need asap and Dallas would have plenty of cap space next summer and they could give the trio of Luka, Kyrie and Westbrook a shot for the remainder of the season. When Maxi and Wood are back healthy and at 100% I believe the Mavs could beat any west team. Plus Josh Green and Hardy seem to have had their breakout last night so I´m kinda excited tbh
Now remember if they shake up the playoffs pls don’t give Luka all the praise he is certified but we seen what he does in playoffs without Kyrie He gets busy but does not win pls pay attention in remember when the time comes

Bad move overall. This pairing will only be 3 months. One of them will be out. Mavs can't win as Kidd can't coach. The GM should have improved the roster before the season.
