Respect your enthusiasm Sam, but the NBA will not allow any scenario where Wembamyama is drafted into the Charlotte market. Do you think the Hornets weren't strong armed into trading Kobe Bryant to LA? Do you believe the league didn't turn a blind eye while Miami negotiated in private to lure Alonzo Mourning to the Heat? Do you think New Orleans really won the rights to draft Anthony Davis number one when the Hornets had the worst record by far. How about the minor wrist slaps for large market teams that routinely violate free agency tampering rules? I know you'll say what about LaMelo to Charlotte? That was to punish Lavar. Once he's done his time, they'll gladly see him leave for a large market. The best draft possibility for Charlotte would be #2 for Scoot Henderson that would provide a star point guard to play with the trade haul the Hornets will get when they trade LaMelo.
