Draymond Green, elite NBA defender, projects the impact of the Luka-Kyrie duo: “I don’t love it. The reason I don’t love it, it’s very hard to stop. Very hard to stop…Now you’re essentially replacing Jalen Brunson with Kyrie Irving. Jalen Brunson is good, but Kyrie Irving is Kyrie Irving.”

Dray knows… open your eyes, league fucked
The players understand it
All that talk and u still not coming to the Mavs, huh?
So refreshing to hear some commentary on this that isn’t your typical sports journalist bullshit that focuses solely on drama with an annoying tone of feigned exhaustion like they are being forced to focus solely on drama.
this is just Draymond’s style. he knows angry Luka is best Luka. in the playoffs too. suns and jazz series were wars. against warriors, it’s all flowers. but you know what? he’s right. fu©k it. let’s have a WCF rematch dubs
One reason why I’d have been ok with us either not making a move or making smaller moves is I didn’t think it’d be possible for us to make a deal that would legitimately get us past the warriors (assuming their healthy)
Now I can see it; it’ll be tough but now it’s really possible and I think in the NBA that’s all you need.
Additionally speaking on Draymonds credentials and credibility he knows how good Kyrie is. He was there when the Cavs stormed back from that 3-1 deficit.
He’s still cool and close with KD who’s spent the last few years backing Kyrie on everything. He’s close with Lebron who’s had beef with Kyrie, reconnected and has pretty publicly been wanting to play with him.
I don’t like Draymond a whole lot but I think he knows what he’s talking about here.
Dray knows. He played against Peak Lebron with Kyrie. Kyrie is probably one of the best star players to play with Luka right now because he’s played with Lebron, another star player who demanded insane defensive coverage while also being a gifted passer. So what if Luka doesn’t really play off ball. Kyrie knows how to play off ball beside a ball dominant HOF talent with high level passing skills and still thrive.
I just hope Kyrie keeps his antics off the court.
