Gordon, Bruno, tate, Boban,Matthews, and nix need to go. I like tate but having a 6’4 pf is crazy for a rebuilding squad with no team identity. That’s 6 spots you can fill around the current young core. Those 6 spots should include a starting pg, backup center, and a 3/d sf. We literally have 4 empty roster spots with garrison, Bruno, nix, and the team mascot. Move kpj to 6 man so he can cook off the bench. He should take pointers from Jamal Crawford if he that happens. They both are from Seattle. If kpj doesn’t like the 6th man role then trade his ass too
Refs are awful, and player’s union needs to step up on this and have some structure written out where refs that blow calls regularly. And refs should be monitored for this! Are fined. If not fined, the nba ref organization is. Make it like OSHA with safety requirements
Silas did look like he was reading from the notes – but I agree that he wasn't reading them. He did not, however, sound genuine to me – it sounded forced, like he felt he needed to do this for show. Either way Stone needs to do something to correct the effort issue before it becomes permanent. To do that he needs to fire Silas now to show these guys there are consequences to their actions. Then Stone needs to trade for Collins – he hasn't been playing and will probably play his arse off being a starter. Also, bring in Patrick Beverly to lead the team and set the tone. Stone probably doesn't want to do these things because of an accounting mentality but in this case it isn't about numbers it is about creating the right culture. If he doesn't do something he should go as well. If they continue playing like this I will write them off like I have the Texans and simply stop watching – Houstonians are tired of bad play and if the only way to get it is make it hit the owners bottom line then so be it. I don't watch the Texans anymore and if this continues I won't watch the Rockets either. Stone needs to grow some and come out into the open and do something.
I don't buy this from Silas. This is a performance. He's the problem. If they aren't doing what they are supposed to do, he needs to bench someone. This was an act.
We gotta remember he just buried his father, if there would be a time for him to act out of character emotionally it would be now in my opinion

Every time camera cuts into him doing/saying things on court, I have to double check if I’m watching the new episode of Last of Us. This team looked clueless at set offense for a year and a half now unless Jalen and Alpi is creating magic. And Silas couldn’t look less interested… What exactly is he even mad about?

Silas is not even believable. This should be his last season as hc. Silas is in over his head. Green n the boys are acting like children. Silas is tryina be their buddy. They need discipline and direction. It’s a shit show. I think GM may need to be accountable as well. Why is Gordon still on the team, and playing a single minute? And they better get this next first round pick and free agency deals right or we have five more years of winter.
I'm with you Jackson. It feels performative because it's out of character. He's looking down at his notes and not at the reporters because he's pissed and doesn't want to be there talking to the media. He's probably only there because he's contractually obligated. I think he's genuine here.
All that being said, it's too little too late. I don't doubt Silas can be a good coach but he's not built to develop 10 players. The team is just too young. I keep hearing we look like a college team but we're the same age as a college team minus Gordon and Boban.

I can see why a lot of ppl think it was faked but coming from someone whose kinds mild mannered like silas seems to be its not an act its just looks awkward cuz it's in the public eye and he's so low key and most times laid back. Even the pre season spill on kpj had some ppl thinking it was faked but it was genuine and it WAS incredibly forced because his team is playing trash basketball and he's tired of preaching at them about the same things
Maybe try getting a successful college coach for these players .
Him not taking any accountability for literally anything tells me everything I need to know. He knows the hourglass is running out. Let’s just rip off the bandaid already. It’s been almost 3 years of the same don’t act like this is some deviation from the norm.
People question whether it was genuine or not are looking too hard into this.

Podcast is starting to suck Bro. There is too much negativity. The roster sucks and you like to place too much of the blame on the easy targets, kinda lazy. First it was KPJ, now it's Silas. Our starters ain't starting on any playoff teams and they HAVE to play because, the bench is even worse. Not to mention they was just in HS 2-3 years ago

If Silas said "I am really disaapointed of my players and their performance and this will be discussed with each of my stars. There can be some changes on the starters and I feel obliged to show Houston Rockets fans efforts of determined people instead of fancy moves here and there!" it would have got the impact and respect from both fans and players.
Team is mainly 20-21 years old youngsters, away from their home, their parents and if Steven Silas can not fill that emotional and psycological gap they are feeling with basketball and his matureaty (coatching) they will loose the respect eventually.
The worst thing he can do to these young players is to critisize publicly. Not during the match, where he can shout at them, swear them, treathen them, limit them… with direct approach … but to discredit them through media.
I hope to see this mentality of Silas during a real match. (With less looking at the paper, less table slapping ofcourse)
Jackson…. Why don't you ask Silas about the accountability of his players? Be specific and ask what can he or can he not do? You want to have the man fired but don't know what's really going on. We are utterly devastated here in Turkey. We are living in the mayhem. Past 48 hours we had over 30 quakes over the m5.0 Richter scale. Two of them back 2 back m7.8 and m7.6. And 3 more over m6.0. I mean words are not adequate to describe what's going on here. All country is now organised to gather help. 10 cities are involved and 10 million population are in the region. Waves even felt in Cairo. The bad thing was the second one was so shallow, very close to the ground. It literally shattered everything into pieces. Thank you for your kind words. Coming to Silas. You know my thoughts and Turkish thoughts majorly. Silas has to be gone way back at least at the end of the previous season. It was undebatable, unquestionable. We all do not know what front office planning is. But I think they can't take action now bcuz his father sadly passed this year. Lastly, he read a script and it was the nominee act for Oscar. We all know an angry person when we saw. Now come on Silas be gone please for the sake of these wonderful youngsters.
Now I finished the video. As we all know bball is a team game. But Alperen is tired of being mistreated. Even now he did not sell his coach in front of the media on the contrary Silas did it before, even talking about another player from his team. I am constantly observing Silas's reactions when Alpy did something wrong his body language is obviously readable. But not for JG, KPJ, especially for Jabari. Do the same you will see it. This is the most consistent guy on the team. He improved his numbers. Especially blocks and steals. Charity %. Why does he always take the blame from the coach? Because Silas is trusting him like KPJ JG or Jabari? (Silas has endless credit for these 3) HELL NOOO. Your analysis of Alpy is true. Bcuz he is tired of the same stupid things being done over&over again. He is so smart he knows what has to be done about teammates and coach. Put yourself into his shoes. Silas is killing this team. They are not trusting him. He is not a coach man. And they know it. They improvise or try to showcase themselves. Alpy is a player who loves to share the ball, so good things happen when he touches the ball, it is as simple as it is like that. But he is tired of this shit.
He needs to start benching some of these guys, including Jalen Green and Jabari Smith, because of lack of effort on Defense.
If they don't want to be physical on defense, they should at least work on being disruptive. Get into passing lanes, force the weakest player to shoot more.
