wonder if Trent’s a guy the spurs wants or if it’s more Toronto trying to move on because they don’t wanna pay him. I’m sure the draft compensation will ultimately be the deciding factor whether this deal gets made or not

Gary is 24 which lines up with the almighty timeline but we’re trading a C for SG/SF and leaving a big defensive hole. Zach Collins moving into starter, or new unforeseen C incoming? 🤔
I don’t understand why toronto would do this. I was under the impression they are gearing up to be sellers rather than buyers. GTJ is also an RFA in our deepest position.
Apparently the Wizards are interested in Jakob as well but Toronto has a big chance to scout him since they play the Spurs tonight…
I doubt we are planning to have GTJ around, but it would be more of a multiple teams deal and I would love it.

Gary Trent would be great for us. But I could also easily see him getting moved to another team in 3 team deal too.
Many teams can use Trent Jr service. It wouldn’t be that difficult to flip him to a 3rd team.

I don’t understand how either team does this deal. Maybe there is a third team involved that we aren’t hearing about. Pick is good for the Spurs but if they do this I’d like to see them turn around and trade Trent for another pick.
