[Wes (via WOJ)] The Hawks are “struggling” to find a deal for John Collins. ATL doesn’t want to trade him for what they perceive to be a loss, but it does sound like they’ll keep trying all the way up until the 3 PM ET deadline tomorrow.

Well there’s always people in here that think he’s going to bring back more than he’s worth.

You gotta feel kinda bad for Collins. He’s been on the trade block for years, and the only news that is attached to his name is: “hawks are shopping Collins”. Maybe a fresh start could help his performance

He’s on a bad contract, so he has negative value.

Once again, we get a report that sounds a lot more like other teams are trying to get JC than we are trying to trade him, and once again, we get a bunch of people asking why we’re trying to trade him.

  5. Good. Really happy nobody else wants him. I still want him on the team. If we did trade him I want a better player or some picks as a future facing moves to restore our assets lost for the DJM trade. Looks like nobody is willing to give either.

This FO just needs to accept their L’s and get this dude off the team for whatever we can

Can we trade Nate for some delta biscoff cookies? Does the NBA allow trading of coaches like the NFL?

My momma say they say he could be traded away any day,
Hey chick, what these insiders know anyway?

Let me see the trade machine, I ain’t no expert, I’m just hurt,
Cousin Schlenk took off of work,

Plus my Aunt Trae, Aunt Clint, Aunt Bogi and Aunt Murray,
So many Aunties we could have an Auntie Team,

Feel like Amerie, it’s just “One Thing”,
When they said that he made it you see they eyes gleam,

    I think we at a all-time high,

To get there, we run, we fly, we drive,

‘Cause with my family we know where home is,
So instead of sending trading JC, he stays home bitch 😤

WELL COLLINS HAS BEEN MOVING AND SHOOTING PRETTY DAMN WELL IN SOME OF THESE RECENT GAMES, ESPECIALLY LOVE THE SPIN JUMPER AND THE SPIN LAYUP. IT’S HONESTLY IMPRESSIVE AND I LOVE THE GUY, HIS ENERGY, MISS THE FREQUENCY OF LOBS TOO. WHATEVER HAPPENS I HOPE HE GETS WHAT HE DESERVES AND WANTS. BUT… HE IS OVERPAID NO DOUBT.. MAKES THE SITUATION TOUGH WHETHER HE STAYS OR GOES. THAT SAID, I IGNORE ALL TRADE TALK UNTIL A TRADE ACTUALLY GOES THROUGH. LOVE THIS TEAM, HATE THE HATERS.

our new front office has stated that they’re not shopping Collins around, no?

We should wait until the off-season, there’s no need to rush into a trade for the sake of making a trade. Plus I have little faith we can make a trade right now that would change the trajectory of this team this season.

I suspect that teams will come calling with kanterst once they strike out on one of their other targets (like OG or something). A desperate team looking for an upgrade is our chance to move collins and gain value imo

Id be more concerned about Bogi than JC.

Hey ChatGPT, write me another JC trade deadline tweet please

At this point any Collins trade would be addition by subtraction. Trae has righted the ship after his early season struggles. I fear John will never be the same as he was pre finger injury. They need to get a first round pick and a solid vet offer and take it. He’s clearly the problem.
