Feels like Hart was out in the off-season anyways, might as well consolidate and get assets we have control over in the immediate future. Might be gearing up for KD, or something this deadline.

Barring getting someone who could help us this and next year, this is the best possible outcome. Get a FRP back from an expiring deal for a player (WE LOVED) that didnt fit well, and opens up playing time for Nas (which all y’all nephews are clamoring for anyways). Reddish is a reclamation project.

My initial reaction is that seems like a low return for Hart given that Cam is also a free agent at the end of the season. But I’m going to reserve judgement until additional details are released.

I’ll be curious about the pick. Reddish has been bad so far. Hard to get excited about it.
Seems like a lot of people are shitting on this trade. Why? No way we were resigning Hart after this season, and we got a decent first in a deep draft (knicks will make the playoffs), and get to try out Reddish for 30 games. Other two players will be cut.
Hart started the year off great, but more minutes for Payton and Little instead of Hart might be a net positive in itself.
Also, it’s possible we’re making a bigger trade with that extra first for a bigger name player before the deadline.
Will the blazers choose to build around dame now or just blow it up? Don’t build around him in fucking 3 years, do it NOW. He’s playing like a mad man, and we’re doing nothing to help him.
