I still don't know if this move will get the Lakers into the playoffs at this stage. Perhaps if they made the trade a month ago it would have made a difference. But the Lakers only have 27 games left and their record is 25-30, and it is going to take the new players sometime to integerate into the Lakers Offense. The Lakers will probably finish their last 27 games with a 14-13 record, which will give them an overall record of 39-43, and I don't think that is a good enough record to make it into the play in game.

It goes to show how good Pelinka is that he is using one of the Lakers’ first round picks to bring D’Angelo back to the team (he was GM when Russell was traded in 2017). Is he going to use the other pick to bring back Kuzma or Ingram next? I doubt LeBron will be impressed, and with the strength within the West they will likely struggle to even make the Play-In

What a trade!!! Defense with Vanderbuilt, Shooting with Beasley and a Westbrook upgrade in Russell. Wow. The jazz are in full rebuilt, will probably loosing a lot a games from now on to get high picks plus having a lot of money by Westbrooks ending contract next season. Lakers have a team now, but they need to win a lot of games to make the playoffs.
