Why would the Nets give up Claxton? He is only going to get better. Yes he will get paid soon but there is no reason to trade him.

With due respect to FVV, he is the only player that Toronto has to move. A ton of value for another team, but he’s a free agent who seems to be after a heavyweight contract. His solid play of late increases his value, but he’s still a free agent. I would be going after a Suggs or Dinwiddie deal. Trading for Jacob is pointless in my opinion. I would consider trading Siakam in a deal for Ayton, Turner, or Claxton.
If nets can’t even do siakam for Claxton there the ones that are stingy

Fred for 2 first-round picks + good pick up point guard and OG for 3 first rounds + solid bench players. No Jakob, he is ok but does not fit our future plan.

OG has a point! I'm a Fred fan but he shoots way too much trying to get a big payday all at the expense of OG and Nurse isn't doing anything about it. Fred should only be shooting 12-15 shots as a PG, not 22and up. Those other shots should go to OG and then everyone eats! It's a bit late but Masai needed to speak to both players and the coach earlier. I'm hopeful a trade doesn't go down to be honest and we unload some of the waste on our bench and add Poeltl in a trade or as a FA.

You overplaying your hand if you think both Claxton and Cam + picks would be included in that deal. Pascal is obviously the best player but Claxton has shown Dpoy ability and might be the best at guarding 1-5 in the league while Cam has given us flashes of superstardom. There’s no possible way all of that is included in the deal unless we talking about adding OG in the deal and some more pieces from the nets. Gotta be fair and realistic with these trades
