The more I think about KD to the Suns the less I am moved by it.

Defensive issues aside (which are PLENTY), on offense, they are *all* midrange merchants. I know they hit at elite rates but vs other West teams like Nuggets & Mavs who shoot the 3 ball at crazy high volume + efficiency…they’re gonna run into some math problems. Shamet’s like their best role player shooter and can he even stay on the floor??

    Depth abysmal too

Biggest thing actually is this will catapult Mavs & Suns to really good regular season records and they will exit the West mid off. Meaning our chance of home court is donezo.

Damion Lee ’bout to get another ring lol.

Srsly tho, s long as the trio are healthy, idongive a damn who we match up against in the playoffs.

    Curry+Klay+Wiggins+Looney+Green>>>>>>

Suns KD move and a new hypothetical “superteam” makes me think of how fortunate we were to get that “cherry on top” forth championship. Alot of folks said this season would be the year cuz the kids would be better and Klay would be all the way back. But we snuck in there and took one for ourselves when alot of folks had us optimistically the 6th best team in the west to start last season. Artificial Intelligence actually had us as 15% to 85% underdogs. It’s all house money from here.

As the game has changed… and it was the Dubs that changed it… it’s harder and harder to build teams that stick together and STAY ON TOP. Think it’ll be another decade before a team spreads success over a decade like the Dubs did from 2013 until now. Too many teams load up and go “All in” just for the two year window.

1/3 of teams will empty their future draft assets just for a punchers chance or the get into the crowd of paper contenders. After this trade I still think the Celtics are still actually the favorites tbh… but thats just my opinion DEPTH counts in the playoffs and nobody has won a championship without nine good playoff rotation players. Which Phoenix doesn’t have lol.

To the Suns fans who will beat their chest. You are now fully draft asset pot committed to the next two years of KD… everything beyond that point is full of uncertainty. You have three players who have been significantly injured this season Book is in his second game back and KD is still out with an MCL. Just having the “paper superteam” isn’t enough. You gotta play to your potential… STAY HEALTHY… beat the team in front of you… and catch a few lucky breaks on top of it all.

So how do I feel about the Dubs? The same… get us in a playoff series and WE BELIEVE. It’d be nice to feel the validation of a 15-5 stretch… but Stephs hurt so I’ll take good health over everything else.

My favorite thing btw about the move is it kills Laker nations buzz a million percent. Good trade for them but come on DLo/Vando v KD. That ain’t no debate lol.

I still believe the Lakers will miss the playoffs too btw.

I’m not worried about any team particularly in a playoff series but I’m worried about the regular season. If these teams ahead of us keep winning, it’s gonna be really hard to catch up to 6th seed, especially if Dallas and suns upgraded their rosters. Even the lakers are gonna start making a push shoot. I’m gonna fucking lose it if we’re in the play ins

I’d like for them to aquire just one more wing player, without having to give up a bunch of assets.

Any chance of a fire sell in Bk? They have a lot of interesting pieces

  7. Daconvix

West ain’t as wide open anymore. Lmao we may be fucked

  8. herbtothelungz

Lol what did i wake up to.Booker and KD is a crazy duo when healthy. The west just got insane from top to bottom.5-8 might be some combination of warriors, Suns,Lakers, Mavs,Pelicans.I kind of feel bad for the top 3 teams LMAO.Your suppose to get a easier match up

  9. Accomplished_Iron805

Cameron Johnson anyone? $5,887,899 this year and he’s a restricted FA next year with a player option. Rookie Extension eligible. The Nets already have a bunch of wing players already and a protected 1st and 2nd could get it done.

I don’t really see us making a move because if the rumors are true. There is a bidding war for OG. You might as well go for the big fish(a star-level player). If your gonna give up like 3 picks.Any big moves are probally saved until the summer.Where we have movable contracts outside the big 3.
