The day that Mike was traded to Utah was the same day my son went into surgery. There were complications and he was under for a long time (he’s doing fine now). But reading about Mike coming to Utah was the only thing that got my mind off of how scared I was as a parent.
I’ve had a soft spot for Conley ever since the Grit N Grind. He’s such a professional and such a great family man.
Fuck I’m sad he’s no longer on the jazz.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve said “Mike Conley is so good man” over the years. He was a huge part of the reason we got the 1st seed a few seasons back and was ALWAYS doing the right thing on the floor even when he wasn’t scoring. Plus it seemed like he was a fantastic mentor to our young guys this year, and Donovan before him.
And this isn’t even talking about how amazing of a guy he is. I’m gonna miss him so much.

I remember reading an article by Tony Jones diving into Mike and who he really is. Such a stud! I really wanted him to retire here in Utah! Grateful for what he gave us and really wish him the best with the gobert reunion!

This is a sad day. Aside from the trade being awful, we lost Mountain Mike. I loved watching him play throughout the years, through the ups and downs we and he had. I still remember very well when he first came here, and the excitement of that off-season. The 2021 season with the first seed and his first all-star selection is also unforgettable.
