  1. I called the NBA championship after the trade for Sheed. I knew it.

My homeboy lives in Cerritos CA & he told the Lakers fans was talking mess about the finals & then he said: "they ain't ready for Ben Wallace". He wasn't watching the team like I was in Grand Rapids Michigan.

I said to him: Ben Wallace, they be ready for the Pistons.

  2. That's how you can tell the league been rigged but at least back then it was entertaining and not so predictable…like the old WWF 🤷🏾‍♂️ good times

  3. I remember the arrogance of the wives of the Lakers talking about getting rings for their puppies and dogs.
1989, Detroit TOOK the defending champions Lakers title
2003, the Detroit Shock TOOK the defending champions LA Sparks WNBA title.
2004, the Pistons TOOK the Lakers heart in that series .
Hell, Michigan's 2005 softball team TOOK the national title away from the legendary UCLA Bruins .
    We had LA's number.

  4. One of the best teams of all time. Coach, bench, assistants, owners, fans, and players were all unified in vibe and mission.

  5. James Edwards told me that my Detroit Pistons couldn't win against the Lakers, and he told me that they should have kept Cliff Robinson. I knew he was crazy when I ask him who was going to check who, all his answers had holes in them, and the Pistons did exactly what I knew they were going to do, WIN 🏆

  6. Boy it was on like a neckbone when they won that first game in LA. It was good to hear that part of the history.
