After getting a secret extension this summer. Yeah ownership is too cheap to buy him out and pay another coach. This whole new regime is just shady. Like many of us, I was thinking finally a new president and GM. Really thought things would be different.

  2. >Questions also linger about the status of the relationship between Donovan and his All-Star guard. David Kaplan of ESPN 1000 said the ship has “sailed” on repairing their fissured relationship, and most of the team has sided with Donovan.

    ……

  3. Billy’s not going anywhere for a while because he and AK are good friends

    this franchise is cooked

  4. Machspeedcrypto

That game was embarrassing. The whole team sucked.

  5. GranddaddySandwich

Lavine should be gone though. He had one good game and y’all act a fool. There’s no Championship future with him on the team.

  6. TallAdministration94

I mean I’ve they’ve decided that they don’t wanna make any moves and wanna stick with this core for at least the rest of the season it makes sense to try to shake it up

  7. ARowzFocuz

I’d try to bring back Vooch, Javonte, and Ayo, and I’d let Coby, Dragic, and Bradley walk. Coby’s supposed to be our “shooter” off the bench, but he’s just not that great at shooting frankly, and he’s not all that efficient. Plus, he hasn’t improved enough. I’d try to replace him with a true shooter – even if that’s all that person can do.

    1. LaVine – $40.1M
    2. DeRozan – $28.6M
    3. Ball – $20.5M
    4. Vooch – ~$16.5M?
    5. Pat – $9.8M
    6. Caruso – $9.5M
    7. Ayo – ~$9.5M?
    8. Seth Curry? – ~$8.5M?
    9. Drummond – $3.4M
    10. DJJ – $3.4M
    11. Terry – $3.4M
    12. Javonte – ~$2M?
    13. Carlik Jones? – $1.8M
    14. Marko – $1.8M

    Ball/Caruso/Jones

    LaVine/Curry/Dosunmu

    DeRozan/Green/Terry

    Williams/DJJ

    Vooch/Drummond/Simonovic

They either believe in the players or the coach, but at this point it can’t be both. Either blow it up or fire Billy

  9. doctored_up

It’d surely be nice to have draft picks to dream about

  10. BrokeAsAJokeyJoke

They need to hire Ime Udoka… Ball and Player movement is the key to this team success

  11. uh, we wanted the coach fired months ago. This game just made me want AK gone along with him

  12. lordrubbish

Captioned: “You go out there and show me if it’s so damn easy”

  13. paatreek

Ask OKC if they want Billy back. That should tell you everything.

The pitchfork attitude of this subreddit makes me wish I rooted for a different team. Do y’all remember when we had VALENTINE, ZIPSER, and FELICIO in the starting 5 at the SAME TIME? I’m just appreciating that this front office is A. Trying to field a competitive team that doesn’t get the 7th pick every year B. isn’t afraid to take some risks and C. Doesn’t immediately dismantle the entire roster if said risk doesn’t pan out (I.e. roughly .500 ball) within 1.5 SEASONs

  15. Milkboy1516

We’ve had 8 of the same guys in rotation for 2 seasons now we know doesn’t work and through 3 cycles of opportunity to make a move somehow a coaching change is gonna teach us how to shoot threes end me

  16. mattv911

I had a feeling they were gonna blow the game picked the Nets to win in my bet cause they were actually playing with urgency and could make 3s.

  17. WhileFalseRepeat

    Bleacher Report is such trash.

Those tweets in their article have like 1 like each or something… lol.

The problem is less Billy and more this roster.

  18. ponyboy112233

…if you want him fired you need to remember the Jim Boylen years and stfu

  19. vhalember

I have to wonder how much better this team’s chemistry and play would be if Ball was healthy?

We were 27-13 before Ball got injured last year. I have to think if we had Ball playing, we’d be talking about a deep playoff run.

I don’t blame Donovan or AKME. The contract extension shows the Bulls FO intend on trying to build consistent leadership, which is needed for a franchise to build a healthy culture.

I see a roster with chemistry issues, and low morale. That’s the issue to address.

  20. MrRobertBobby

Imagine giving all of that for Vuc and using him differently. Then you kinda start using him the way you paid for him and then move away from that mid game.

  21. -Buckaroo_Banzai-

I want Reinsdorf to sell the team.

  22. Salsashark_21

“Establishing a culture to attract free agents” apparently means “be a complete doormat for stars and don’t do any actual coaching” to the Bulls

  23. delightfuldinosaur

No point in getting rid of a coach mid-season right now. This team isn’t going anywhere.

  24. Paganpaulwhisky

Extending Billy was by far the dumbest and most illogical move by AKME

  25. No-Potato-4415

Billy Donovan needs to go fuck a damn cactus. Dude couldn’t coach his way out of a cardboard box.

  26. FeedMeCletus

The goal is to be just good enough to sneak into the playoffs. That’s the financial sweet spot

  27. Blow it up. Give the keys to Ayo and Pat. I think Pat could elevate given that chance

  28. TianDogg

I want the Reinsdorfs ousted and AKME fired

  29. Sungyul23

National media was blasting us in unison all day yesterday. Then to lose on national Tv to the Nets was icing on the cake. This is the true make or break moment of the season. I hope the Bulls completely fold and not make the play-in.

  30. MannInnBlack

All Jerry’s kids can piss off. I unfollowed the Whitesox thinking of letting go of these lovers as well.

  31. Zekuel_u

Why punish Billy. The players run his offense which relies on the 3 ball to open up the spacing. All Billy can do is make them work on there shooting and pray they can hit over 19%. Billy wants them to drive to the rim which he told them to do but this is still reliant on hitting 3’s. Honestly if they didn’t shoot any 3’s this game they probably could have won. Most games we have lost is because we don’t have the balance or consistency on offense especially in the 3 department. We can be bottom of the league in 3 point attempts but we need to be at the top on makes. It’s a recipe that worked last year it can work this year. Demar needs to start knocking down 3’s too. I know he does sometimes and he gets a lot of and ones but he has had some wide open 3’s he passed on. He is a good shooter and that shouldn’t be just mid range.

  32. Trubrewski91

If you actually looked at how Billy has fared. This man had PG3, and CP3 only to get bounced out of the first round. That extension was garbage from the beginning.
