I mean we definitely got slapped around tonight in this L but fuck me all star or not, Ant just does not get calls does he. Also a woeful game from Rudy, he simply has to impact the game more to justify even being out there.
0 FTs for Ant is absolutely ridiculous.
Zero ball control tonight. I know everyone wants to clown on Rudy but when he’s playing 1 on 2 it’s hard to stop.
We also need to hit open shots. They put 3 or 4 guys in the paint on every Ant drive and we didn’t make them pay by hitting open shots.
We also need to stop fucking fouling so much. Getting beat by double digits from the FT line is killer.
Ah well, when the Grizzlies play like that and we defend poorly there’s no much you can do. I still liked what I saw from the boys and think we’ll continue on our upward trajectory.
Not the end of the world to lose this one. Gotta show up Monday.
But good lord Rudy sucked ass tonight
Rarely do I stop watching a game out of frustration. I gave up halfway through the third tonight.
As bad as it looked, we split the series with Memphis and Denver, two best team in the conference. Our problem is losses against Detroit and San Antonio.
Anthony Edwards finishing the game with 0 free throw attempts is unbelievable for how often he drove in this game
Not a good game from us on the court, but I do like that KAT and Conley were talking pretty much the entire time he was out.
Considering his playstyle ant getting 0 fta is insane
Do you guys thing Ja cringes when he goes back and watches his flops?
Guarantee the Lakers go on a 11-game winning streak and DLO starts getting most improved hype just because the basketball Gods love to see us in pain.
Type of game where Finch needs to take an ejection for Ant. It’s been almost 3 years of no calls
Just not a good game really, even if they missed a shot we gave up free throws. No well looked good and price shit well, that was about it. Went into this last 4 games demanding at least 2-2 so not all bad but the mavs game is very important
At least going from zero points to 8 is an improvement
That one sucked so ima forget about it. Ant is an all-star, vibes are back, and Dillon Brooks is still ugly as shit.
Zero free throws on 20 shots for ANT is unbelievable for how often he was aggressively driving all game.
3x the amount of FTs for Memphis… how do you make up that kind of disparity? Not even fun watching a game like that.
Rudy Gobert makes me sad. I don’t care what we gave up for him at this point, but if you get paid 40+ million dollars and the only thing you are good at is protecting the rim, you need to dominate the paint every night. He’s a complete non-factor in the paint way too often. I really really hope we find some way to dump him next year.
Bad couple games from Mcdaniels, and zero additional help from any other guards on stopping penetration into the paint. Hard for Rudy to react to a guy with full momentum.
I love ANT being aggressive. But he needs to kick it out when 3 big bodies are in the lane
yeah.. we are gonna struggle to find a 2nd scoring option till kat comes back
Loss is whatever, everyone played really bad tbh
But why do we insist on not running an offense or at the very least moving off-the-ball?
Everyone just stands still
Every time a ball is bouncing around, tipped, there’s a long rebound, etc., the other team nearly always comes down with it. It’s been a theme of ours all season and it’s super frustrating.
Our defense is red fucking baboon cheeks
That is all
Don’t know if it’s the groin but if Rudy’s lost a step on defense then that’s absolutely terrifying. Hopefully with the rest from the ASB he gets back to his best
Tim Connelly is going to continue to run this team into the ground trying to make Rudy work
I look at the lakers having our players from last year and think wow, cant believe they have some of last years fun team… and then look at how the vibes just arent the same 🙁
On to the next one.
