Where were you when the Nets went undefeated for the remainder of the season after the trade deadline

  4. Suspicious_Market394

    Bridges and Johnson available ?

  5. Winter-Relief-9496

Going tonight hopefully it’s a good one! I know Philly played last night and on the road but anyone shocked the line is only BK +1?

Vegas prob has no idea what to think of this team

  6. zestysnacks

Come on kd hurry the fuck up so we can get our guys suited up

  7. KingofthisShit

Hope to see Clax, Bridges, and Johnson tonight; want to see what this team looks like.

  8. Simmo the Savage coming in with a 30+ pts triple double tonight, heard it here first

  10. KD needs his physical done by 5:30 so hopefully Mikal and Cam are good to go. Can’t wait to watch Mikal clamp up Harden and Clax on Embiid. Let’s go!

  11. Batman_in_hiding

Pls tell me that Mikal and Cam are playing.

Anyone else irrationally excited for this game

  13. predictions on what the starting five are tonight? we already saw Simmons coming off the bench so that’ll probably continue.

    C – Clax
    F – Bridges
    F – DFS
    G – Thomas
    G – Dinwiddie

[ESPN’s depth chart looks pretty accurate for what I expect.](https://www.espn.com/nba/team/depth/_/name/bkn/brooklyn-nets) So many good defenders (4 All Defense potential), overlapping skill sets, three point shooters (7 players at 40%+ on the season with Bridges, DFS, and Patty not there this season but have done it in the past), and maybe 10 guys who could start on other teams.

It’s pretty wild how versatile and deep we are now. I think it will be a while before we figure out true starting and closing line-ups. Once chemistry develops, our “second unit” shouldn’t miss a beat given the distribution of talent down the roster.

What may help or hurt is the lack of a true star. I think we all saw role players defer to KD/Kyrie in crunch time over the last couple of seasons. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes we fell flat on our face because the ball stopped moving. We won’t be able to replace those two, but I am hoping this opportunity gives guys more freedom or desire to run an offense instead of switching to iso-ball to end the game. I also think Dinwiddie and Cam Thomas (even Curry at times) have shown the ability to be clutch if we need it.

The biggest question marks I have remain with Cam Thomas, Ben Simmons, and our front court. Can Cam Thomas be a dependable scorer without frequent mental lapses and dominating the ball? Is he better suited coming off the bench? Will Ben remain healthy enough to get into a rhythm and be at least 80% of the defender/distributor he was in Philly? Will he be a point center (for lack of a better term) with 4 shooters with the second unit? Will our front court be able to handle bigger bodied centers? Is there a bigger role for Sharpe to be had given his penchant for activity on the offensive glass? Is there a big man on the buyout market who can give us muscle inside but not entirely slow down the rest of the flow?

I am so excited to watch the rest of the season play out. I think I might go to the game at MSG on Monday.

Going to my first nets game tonight, going solo. Good pub recommendation for pre game beers?

The new era starts today….if the physicals arrive in time

    I found this:

    Feb. 10, 5:07 p.m.

Nic Claxton is probable for Saturday’s 6 p.m. game between the Nets (33-22) and Philadelphia 76ers while Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson are questionable following Thursday’s Kevin Durant trade with the Phoenix Suns.

I was really impressed with Spencer’s passing last game. I always thought he was a better player than dlo and our best player in 2019. His downhill pressure is something we haven’t since he’s left and he had some nice hockey assists. I’m expecting a few lobs to clax tonight

  19. Best part of the trade is that we may be rid of Nick Friedel. Apparently he was interviewing CP3 in the Suns locker room already.

Trading Kyrie and KD to get off of Nick Friedel -> Worth

    Cam 50![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)

    Ben triple single![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

    CornerTabe ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)

Clax ON 4 blocks— if he plays

    We get the W

  21. EddyTreeNJ

Can you imagine if Kevin Durant doesn’t pass the physical?

  22. Decent_Scholar_3250

    It’s giving 04 pistons potential

  23. AMandAlDay

Prediction for today: get you some paper plates, napkins, ketchup, and mustard cause Joe Harris is about to cook for 22
