Their starting lineup with Claxton/FinleySmith/Bridges/Cam Johnson/Dinwiddie is exactly what we are trying to be. Dinwiddie a 6’5 point guard. Instead we have a point guard that’s 5’8 and slower
pskill43
Their athletic wings can actually shoot. Cam Johnson and bridges all very good shooters.
hoennking502
Bridges being able to dribble the ball like OG helps
iambiggzy
Only difference is they sold top 10 player elite assets to get what they have
RedRocket13
It’s what happens when two top 20 players go to your team in cap space…
LostPants7
this is what trading all their FRPs got them yet most of yall complained about that one too. Besides, they still lost so now what?
ShindouRomm
Watched their game tonight and it felt like a rerun of last night. They definitely have the shooters though.

The funniest part of this is they just had a complete Raptors-like collapse in the final 5 minutes.
_Gourmand
Exactly, and honestly the only way you get that is by trading Siakam. Siakam is amazing, but going a new direction means you get a ton of value in return for him. Sign and trading Fred or Gary with OG doesn’t change the direction of the team enough and give a big enough return. Hopefully the Pelicans struggle a little bit in the playoffs, then in the offseason Masai goes after Herb Jones, Dyson Daniels, maybe Trey Murphy and picks as well.

I think OKC is a better example.
Mesozoic_Era
So did we at the start of the season.

Please roast us, it’s warranted.

BKN did lose…against maybe the 4th or 5th best team in the league 2 days after bringing in a completely new roster.
Someone said it, but Raptors will probably not be able to build any kind of depth without trading Siakem.
Sign and trades are rare and arent don’t hold a lot of value.
Ecstatic-Buy-2907
They got two top 10 assets in FA and traded them for more assets
We lost a top 10 asset in free agency, as well as Danny, Marc and Serge
That certainly makes a difference
ttttyttt678
This nets team will never win a championship, so who cares. I’d rather have a Scottie Barnes and all our picks rather (besides 2024) than have the Nets Roster + none of their own picks. This sub complains about being mediocre and then praises a franchise stuck in mediocrity after having 2 all time talents join in the free agency.
QueasyDrummer00
Except we’re easily better, but keep pushing the false narratives.
Green-Umpire2297
These are weird takes.
The Raptors have lots of talent. They are just losing, for different reasons.
HomieKnight4
Yeah and they’re losing too lmao
DrKurgan
It’s true but they had managed to have one of the most stacked team and won nothing with it. None of their stars left in FA so they have lots of good players.
RaptorKing95
That’s nice and all but we didn’t have KD and Kyrie sign with us for nothing and then be able to unload them for a shit ton of assets

Call me crazy I think Brooklyn still has a young good team
