[Law Murray] Add Nicolas Batum to the chorus of support for Russell Westbrook in the case that he becomes available. Batum empathizes with Westbrook based off of how Batum was perceived after his tenure in Charlotte.

Batum accepted his role and has thrived in it. Not sure Westbrook can do the same

This sub gonna act like he didn’t say this lmao

Players know. The Clippers can cleanse and renew.

If we sign Westbrook, Ty is gonna keep playing him even if it’s not working. Would much rather those mins go to Bones as he’s far more versatile on offense

LAWRENCE FRANK, HOLD THE LINE. DO NOT GIVE IN. These players have literally zero idea what actually constitutes winning. How many times have player GMs, President of Basketball Operations, Coaches, etc failed? Way too many times. Steve Nash, a player known to have one of the highest basketball IQs ever, is trash at coaching. Magic Johnson couldnā€™t run the Lakers. Do yā€™all really think these players understand actual stats or player impact? Absolutely not. That ainā€™t their job at the end of the day.

I was gonna say ā€œman, the Clippers players really want Westbrookā€, but then I realized itā€™s just the media asking questions that illicit these responses and soundbites, so it means nothing to me.

  7. Russell is still a dominant player, yall crazy for not realizing how much he will help.

lol oh no – the Clipper golden child. Is Nico gonna get attacked like PG was.

I don’t think Russ signs with the Clips tbh. He could go to Miami and get more run and the whole org wants him there.

There’s clearly some disagreement about Russ coming to the Clips and if I were Russ, I would want to come to an org where there was 100% agreement from the organization.

Also – I fuckin love Nico man. I hope he works with the organization in some capacity after his playing days

The problem is Russ needs a team built around him because he is so ball dominant. He can’t be plugged into a system and told to take a minor role behind 2 guys since the only way he puts up good numbers is being “the guy” on the team. There is a reason why when he is alone on a team he looks like an MVP and on a competitive roster he isn’t one.

He probably does fit better on this team and would come out the other side looking much better than his tenure on the Lakers. But that doesn’t mean his improvement= making our team better. His flaws are poor shooting, poor finishing inside, bad passes, and he is a turnover machine.

IMO We’re better off staying as is and giving any extra minutes to Bones so he can develop.

  10. This team as is, will not compete for a title this season. Thatā€™s a fact. I donā€™t give a fuck about memes and shit talking from other fans. Iā€™ve been a Clipper fan my whole life. Before we drafted Odom. Iā€™ve heard it all. Iā€™m all in for the opportunity to make LeBron and Laker fans look stupid. Worst case scenario Russ doesnā€™t fit in and he doesnā€™t play much.

Nico is a way different player than WB, he’s a high IQ guy, WB isn’t.

The media is going to end up bringing Westbrook here by asking every single one of our players about it. I guess we’ll know by the time all-star break ends.
