As a Raptors fan I feel that we could of moved OG for sure but getting Jabok really helps our center problems. We should of moved Fred or OG or even both. But conisdering how Fred's value was low. Moving OG now and Fred at the deadline would of been key. (Also like waive Otto Porter. he's out the rest of the season and played 8 games, waste of a MLE))
Blazers are also handicapped by the fact that Jody Allen won’t sell the damn team. Part of the reason they shipped out Hart and Payton was to avoid the tax; which is smart considering the ceiling on the roster but there’s little hope that they would pay the tax even as a contender. Blazers aren’t going to do anything until Jody sells or until Dame retires

How are you leaving the T Wolves off of the list? They trade all of those picks in the off season to get another center on a bad contract. They got rid of Vanderbilt, Beasley, and Russell, and pick up Conley and Alexander-Walker who is on his 4th team in 4 years and none of the previous teams wanted to give him any playing time. Conley is going to make 25 million next year. So he eats up cap space. I guess they were afraid to let Russell go, but Conley isn't worth 25 million. I have no clue as to what this franchise wants to do moving forward. It's almost like they thought that this was a win now trade at the deadline, but Alexander-Walker and Conley at BEST….don't move the needle forward for them, and most likely set them back even further.

They could have gotten a ton of picks, young talent, or a small mix of the two. The reported asking price from the Pelicans was 3 firsts plus two of Trey Murphy, Dyson Daniels, and another young prospect (Herb Jones?).
That is not quite a Durant package but that WAY overvalues what OG would have brought to the Pelicans.

The raptors issue was roster construction in forms of not having a big and not having a center… If you trade Fred, you have no shooting or playmaking (it's easier to double pascal adn scottie). You trade Trent, you lose shooting.. Yea they could have moved those guys but if you do that you go into a rebuild. It makes sense to build on the good players you have (good because everyone wanted them) as opposed to giving them away for picks then having to rebuild all over again
Portland probably wants to go full rebuild, but they also don't wanna be the team that does Damian Lillard wrong.
I think portland need to hire Mike D'Antoni, and put Chauncey as Asistant Coach
Mike D'Antoni, always had success creating a system that benefit their Point Guard, and Since the only PG is Damian Lillard who happens to be the only Star Player.
