I hope for a speedy recovery from Simons but silver lining, this may be the path to unlocking Sharpe, we will see!
If the blazers trade Sharpe instead of Ant this off-season this team will probably get nowhere in the next 10 years imo

Yes being saying it since he got drafted. He will be unleashed after the all star game. And when i say unleashed. His role will grow as large as Simon's
I hope this is going to be the same story when Brady replaces Bledsoe for the starting spot and run with it. Ant is a good player but I always have seen him as the 6th man on the team because he really needs the ball to flourish and he always finds himself close to the basket when the opponent shoots that's why when the opposing team gets an offensive rebound the perimeter guy his guarding always open and the way we playing small ball now we give a lot of offensive rebounds Ant always under or near the basket leaving his man wide open for a three
I been saying since day 1 Sharpe is going to be that guy in the league. All the defense is mental. Physically he has some incredibly good stops in 1 on 1 scenarios. He is still figure out how to read schematically. The offense is coming together day by day with his confidence.
Lmao such ridiculous levels of over hyping someone. It’s one thing to do it for his possible future bc he’s all potential at this point, but to act like he’s already doing anything and already cemented some level of definite greatness is just ridiculous

Yeah I really hope we don’t trade away Sharpe, hopefully he’ll have a great end to the season to show Cronin he’s off limits in trades. Just far too much upside to use him to chase an aging star, much rather they trade Simons and picks to chase a star then replace the guard with a serviceable player who can play decent defense. But nothing matters as much as getting Jody to sell the damn team cause she’s the highest problem the organization has right now.

You talk about sharps defensive liability, and I agree he is not great defensively however, the guy he is replacing is no great defender either. It is my opinion that sharp is as good a defender as Simons, while sharp will get lost a little more often, when he knows his assignment, I believe he is a better defender than Simons. As far as ball handling goes Ants assist to turnover ratio is poor, I do not think sharp is the answer here the new point guard should be given a chance to back up Dame.
I can see they are ready to package Simons n Nurk with picks for a superstar this summer or feb 2024 deadline..i think sharpe showed them he can suppress Simons in 12-18months time (needs to take every opportunity now n CB start him)
