welp. i guess we’re just along for the ride now

  2. nepats523

Goodbye season. Thanks PG for making us unwatchable

  3. Some of y’all over reacting. It’s the same as Wall basically, and having Wall did not end our season either. Y’all the same MFers bitching in the second quarter of the game thread on Tuesday I bet too.

  4. SlyHoooper

Wouldn’t even be afraid of this if we had any other coach. Ty Lue is gonna play him 30 mins a night

  5. AngsMcgyvr

As long as both sides are clear about the role, then whatever. It’s a minimum and we don’t lose anyone.

Knowing Lawrence Frank’s reservations about Russ, I would hope the understanding is clear.

He’s a pure chaos agent. That could turn a game around.

  6. Sfr33123

We’re actually gonna DNP Bones for this shit

  7. frs_goz21

If he becomes a Clipper and you dont initially support him/give him a chance then shame on you. At the end of the day, hes a buyout guy and he can ride the pine if he doesn’t fit well. At least hes healthy

The Mook and Russ show is about to begin folks. Replace those stupid PG and Kawhi banners. A new band is in town! 🙂

  9. 6775Drilla

PG clearly wanted this, so when it doesn’t work in the playoffs hopefully we trade him after cutting russ

Biggest question is if he’ll be a locker room cancer if he doesn’t play. But he’s a contract buyout – it won’t cost us much. He’s seemingly been professional in every locker room he’s been in.

I think it’s a low risk, high reward opportunity.

  11. thelifeofjays

Just as I was getting excited for Bones and Gordon lol

  12. Sfr33123

I think PG and Ty have to be held responsible if this costs us the season. At the same time we should be grateful to them if it does work out

  13. Right or wrong, support our fucking team people. Bunch of bitch ass fans around here. Starting to sound like the gawwdamn laker sub around this bitch. Some of you fans weren’t even alive to watch the shit show of a team I supported during the late 80s, early 90s. Ride or die you bunch of punks.

retards gave john wall a chance for half the season and now they dont want the same player but better? and a player that you can just fucking cut if he spreads cancer (which he wont, more likely to cure it)?

  15. K1llabee5

Question is, We starting him or putting him as a 6th man?

  16. 5-Star_Fraud

I don’t want this, but I’ll obviously support the move unless it’s officially trash.

  17. Nickproffitt

My main concern is that because Russ seemingly has a couple of options, our FO might have to make certain commitments about his role/minutes. This might make it harder to stick him at the end of the bench if the fit isn’t good.

Still if it happens we can hopefully treat him better as a fan base than the lakers did and hopefully he will perform better when surrounded by competent shooters

  18. Cheenzzz

We knew this though, he’s also talking with Bulls, Wizards and others. Is this new info?

  19. After the last game I don’t see where he fits in the rotation but whatever if he’s a clipper I’ll root for him

  20. They better not promise him 30 minutes a game.

  21. Prior-Boysenberry-25

I hope he goes to the bulls, they need some help

  22. _lxviiii

all i see is our front office currently willing to make a move towards a pg who knows how to playmake, handle & distribute the ball & set up shooters, which is what this team needs. regardless of the bias that surrounds his name & reputation for being a rancid shooter, you objectively can’t deny that he does an amazing job at driving to the rim seamlessly, moving the ball & setting his teammates up, dude has iq. idk why you guys are acting like it’s doomsday for the 213 era, we all saw how horrible our ball movement was down the stretch against the bucks & knicks a couple weeks ago, russ is gonna solve that. russ isn’t ben simmons, yeah he’s a point guard who can’t shoot, but he isn’t gonna underperform & tank a teams offense in literally any system you throw him into. you can actually use him, you can utilize him. he’s gonna be in a completely different environment, surrounded by a completely different group of guys that he knows he can benefit off of & will inevitably have a different role & will be a completely different player than he was as a laker. there’s no denying that he’s playing better than what we had the first 59 games of the season in reg & wall either, our front office is making a low risk high reward move here. stop dooming lmao trust the people who get paid to make moves like this & give bro a chance

  23. Ikigai_Mendokusai

John Wall PTSD about to hit hard – except he 2x harder.

  24. Zackman558

Jesus Christ. You guys are acting like Russell Westbrook is Ben Simmons.

He is at worse a better player than John Wall was for this team. And when he’s playing well, he is a high scoring player.

The doubt on Ty Lue and this team this season has been ridiculous. The fact that many in this sub are saying they would want Patrick Beverley over Russ after the way Pay Bev has played this year is absolutely insane.

If he comes as a Clipper, I will be happy and cheer him. He’s an LA native, has a middle school charter and has done so much for the community. He fits in great with what the clippers as an organization do to uplift the community and his play will without doubt be of help to us.

Stop being doomers. We will make the playoffs and we WILL go the the WCF again this year.

  25. Rawrlorz

Why can’t we just test the new guys we have man why add more

  26. Look, if it doesn’t work out, we should package PG and Westbrook in a deal and ship them to OKC for Shai

  27. reddit0100100001

If this doesn’t work then we’re trading you PG. no more games mf

  28. why not?

he’s our 5th guard. people here need to relax.

  29. Bradyofthebest

Man we all watched Reggie toy with Westbrook in the 4 games against the lakers last year. Outplayed him every game, literally fucking with him in one of them. I don’t mind signing low risk buyout guy, but it just makes me miss Reggie

  30. jetboyjetgirl

PG: now if we fuck up in the playoffs they’ll blame Russ!

  31. If we sign Russ and have to play Denver in the postseason then Reggie is going to personally drop 30 on him. Blow bys. Step backs. Weird contortionist layups. Middy pull-ups. He’s going to kill him.

  32. RippedHookerPuffBar

We’ve already had a little turnover issue and hero hall issue. From what I saw from Russ in LA is that he turns the ball over a lot, and tries to be a hero too often. Now we just picked up Bones who to me seems like he is buying into the team first mentality. Idk if Westbrook would be a good experiment this late in the season, I hope someone else picks him up.
