Where do Yak and Skills go in a 2016 re-draft?

I say Pascal #2 and Jakob #7 – also our FO really knocked it out of the park with this draft I have to say.

**and FVV was signed by the Raptors after being undrafted this same year as well *chef’s kiss*

I can see Siakam going first, and Poeltl its difficult to judge but probably 6-10?

I think Pascal goes 2nd, no? I only see Jaylen perhaps landing over him.

As for Poeltl, I think the 8-10 range.

Edit: Fred should also be there, probably at like 6 or 7

Murray sabonis and lavert are also moving on up into the top 10 for this one

I remember this sub complaining HARD when we picked Pascal over Labisseiere. I love this sub.

For the LeT’s TaNk crowd, a quick look at this atrocious draft board is all you need to see that first round picks are a complete crapshoot in the NBA. Build around the devil you know, because the devil you don’t know can be a whole hell of a lot worse.

I wouldn’t want to bank my future on a bunch of first round draft picks.

100% Siakam would go first. He is better than Ingram, Brown, and Domas

  8. JustAHumbleMonk

Brown, Pascal, Sabonis, Murray, Ingram, THEN Poeltl. I’d say 6th. Of course Simmons had a better start to his career but his stock has taken a huge hit.

If you hold this up, for arguments sake, against the Ringer’s player rankings (unless I missed something):

    1) Siakam (21st)

    2) Brown (22nd)

    3) Sabonis (23rd)

    4) Ingram (34th)

    5) J Murray (43rd)

    6) D Murray (51st)

    7) Zubac (86th)

    8) Poeltl (97th)

Obviously you could easily nitpick at the margins (esp/ with Siakam vs Brown and Poeltl vs Zubac), but this seems realistic.

Pascal and Fred move up a lot. Pascal is in the top 3 mix with Jaylen Brown. Maybe Ingram too.

Jakob probably goes down the list. I doubt he stays in the top 10.

I didn’t realize Giannis’ dad was drafted ahead of Pascal. Crazy

I’d say second to fourth. In no order brown ingram spicy and sabonis. I couldn’t say who is better than who and where it would be best I’m not a Reddit GM.

Those seem to be the best four players in the draft.

  13. NoseBlind2

    Siakam #1

    Brown #2

    Sabonis #3

    Ingram #4

    D Murray #5

    J Murray #6

    FVV #7

    Brogdon #9

Ben Simmons #10 (his first few years were good and need to be considered. Toughest to place considering everything)

    Jak #11

  14. KeyConscious9220

Siakam honestly might be first…basketball media will probably say like 8th though lol

  15. Equivalent_Fox_1546

Siakam is the best player from the 2016 draft. Poeltl would be around the same 8th-9th.

  16. Kebobthebuilder2

    1- Brown 2- Siakam 3- Sabonis 4- J Murray 5- D Murray 6- Ingram 7- Poeltl

  17. crumpledbrouhaha

I’m taking Siakam first but I could see Jaylen/BI due to age

  18. PascalAnunoby

    1. Pascal Siakam 2. Boston Boy 3. Domantas 4. Dejounte 5. Ingram 6. Jamal 7. FVV 8. Jacob 9. Simmons

  19. Ingram, brown, Murray, Sabonis are the only ones you could argue over Pascal. Yak would be right after them.

  20. shahed2806

Pascal and JB are interchangeable 1 and 2. Both have had seasons where they looked better than the other. Although JB is younger so, it’s fair to put him at #1. Then I got Sabonis, and Ingram. Then the 2 Murrays and Fred. Probably in this order Dejounte, Fred, Jamal. After those guys I’d put Brogdon, Hield, Jakob, and Zubac in the next tier. These guys are all top starter level (Hield’s shooting is too good despite his other flaws).

  21. ihatechromebooks

    Denzel valentine should’ve gone 1st

  22. Pascal #3, Yak right where he went. Maybe 8.

  23. SuwavySheen

If we’re going by player skill currently, not team fit. My list would be:
    1. JB 2. Pascal 3. Sabonis 4. J. Murray 5. Ingram 6. D. Murray 7. Hield 8. Benjamin 9. Yak 10. Levert.

  24. Man, Suns struck out on all 3 of their FRPs.

  25. whatsyowifi

The crazy thing is ROTY went to Malcolm Brogdon who isn’t even on this list.

This is how bad all these rookies were in their first year lol

  26. It’s funny looking back and remembering how disappointed I was at not drafting Skal

  27. Difficult-Yard-1342

What does yak and skills mean? I totally don’t understand

  28. LifeofWalk

    1. Pascal

    2. Poeltl

    3. Bembry

    4. Hernangomez

    5. Ellenson
