I hope they are just waiting for the all star break and not gonna ride with Silas for the rest of the season.
The "early" game for me on a weekday finishes after 4AM, so pretty much every time I stay up for a game I feel like such a massive dumbass for wasting my own time and fucking up my schedule for the next day as I'm a freelancer
Ah I'm not diggin this whole excuses n narrative blaming everything on Silas now he take his share of the blame n got his own problems.
Silas got nothin 2 do wit the players effort they look like they dnt care not on Silas. They look over their head they look like they dnt knw wat their doin. Defense is bout effort they dnt do it. They dnt even look like they get mad wen they lose, when's Green or some1 gonna go n the huddle n not yell but get on the other guys show u hate losin. They fight 4 a lil bit then once they get dwn they give up dats not on Silas. The players dnt even look like they believe n themselves that the #1 problem n that's not on Silas.
Players looked ready for all star break hell they look ready 4 the season 2 end. N no 1 talking bout we was getting blown out wen Green was n the game he dnt get off he's the worst 1 Giddy was Givin him buckets he's borderline garbage on defense like bro u not that nice on offense 2 give such poor effort on defense. I dnt c superstar he's just a inefficient scorer rite now just facts he not dat good n he not a leader rite now he got a long ways 2 go.

How does Silas even have a job? Dude doesn’t even like being a coach or doing his JOB. Any random person would be fired on the spot if they were as bad as him.

It has to be Sengun. This team is looking so bad I can't help think there are more underlying issues than just the head coach. There is either in-fighting as to a direction or there's no one in charge at all. Waiting to see how things turn our with the draft picks is no direction at all in my opinion. You know enough about Sengun to start building but the lack of willingness to sigh Green earlier in the week raised a red flag for me. I think the odds of them being mediocre for the next 10 years is now greater than 50%. If that happens I won't be watching and you see my posts anymore. I haven't watch the Texans in over 2 years – I will do the same for the Rockets unless they start hiring some quality people and signing some quality free-agents. BTY Harden will not count as a quality free agent in my book. If VanGundy is still interested in the job I would pay him whatever he wants.

I truly hope you read this. These are the reasons Silas, and to an extent Stone, are conducting developmental malpractice with our players & their future.
Took 3 years and injuries to start KJ
Took injuries and statements from players around the league to play through Sengun
Starts Tate when it kills spacing. Starts Nix over our drafted guards
Benches Josh Christopher without seeing what he brings to the table as a young guard.
Calls out Sengun by name and no other player in the same way
Doesn’t set up Jabari when he’s shooting 40% from one of the corner 3s and the top of the Key.
Doesn’t run plays for Jabari so he chunks it when he gets it. He’s totally out of rhythm and confidence. He states it himself in his most recent interview.
Plays an offensive scheme that would work if you had Steph, LeBron, Luka, or Harden. Doesn’t coach to the strengths of the college roster we currently have.
Taught the team to over help to the point where it creates defensive breakdowns & really long close outs that no one can reach.
Doesn’t know how to defend pick and rolls
Doesn’t know how to coach plays out of timeouts
Doesn’t stagger KPJ, Jalen, and Sengun
If these changes were done, the rockets would not be a play in team. But they would be developing.
The only thing I blame Stone for is not firing Silas sooner & apparently having the mindset that this current culture isn’t creating possible irreparable damage to some of our talent. But these mistakes are larger than any good Stone could ever and has ever achieved.
The Rockets don’t hit their shots because they don’t know their spots on the floor. They just throw it up.

Silas cannot continue on. Let's see what we have in Mahmoud. Silas has ruined the entire team and wasted 2 years of development. He is completely incompetent. Every interview he outdoes himself with some new idiotic quote. No more. We have had enough.
I know my post is long. Cutting it short. Jabari hits 40% from 3 at one of the corners and the top of the key of 70 3PT attempts. But Silas doesn’t set any of this up. So Jabari just throws it up when he can. How about we run some plays for him there? Too much to ask I guess.

Great podcast jackson and i love how you say it how it is (in a polite way) and not hold back on how poorly run our team is atm – and through the last few seasons, esp seeing us likely going to fin bottom again now for 3 seasons straight. Im a diehard rockets fan since 1990 (living in Aus) and has been a hard stretch of late and its obvious we need change at the top. It prob wont happen til seasons end tho, but i think we need someone who can start getting our team to gel and to get the best out of them game in game out – maybe ex boston coach Idoka could be a good fit…

Ya and I talked to one of Jabari’s friends on Twitter and he told me that Silas told him offense isn’t his role on this team.. and this was at the beginning of the season so I could only imagine how that impacts a rookie who was a top pick who thought he would be involved in offense

I think we fans need this All-Star break too. I try to stay positive but last nights game was awful. I do think Silas will be our head coach starting next season, as a tradeoff for the tank. I would love to see Sengun pass to KJ for maximum dunks!

I’m so over Jabari honestly lik not excusing Silas as a coach but he has done nothing to even warrant plays being consistently drawn up for him you can discredit Matthews as much as you want but he was always more reliable than Jabari from three this is quite literally one of the worse seasons the nba has ever seen from

I think his contract is up at the end of the season. Silas may need some time away from the game with everything that's happened. Unfortunately the players aren't responding to him including the one's he shows favoritism to.
