I love it! My mom got into the Red Sox like twenty plus years into her marriage with my dad and it definitely added a whole element to the family. It’s pretty awesome to see people close to you start to follow your interests, especially when it’s sports and you can all start watching and cheering together.

No description needed for Jaylen Brown 🤴

No description for JB. She just knows. He’s that dude.

My mom has never been a sports person but started watching with me during the ECF last year, she got a little bit into it. This season she’s missed like 2-3 games max and we’ll text back and forth during the games. Favorite player seems to be Derrick White lol.

Seeing that lineup on paper makes it clear that this team is an embarrassment of riches. I just wish there was way to keep White or Brogdon on the court while Smart, Tatum, and Jaylen were out there. While Jaylen and Smart were out White and Brogdon took such good care of the ball and it felt like the turnovers went way down.

My 84 year-old mom has become a fan. In the Bucks game when Giannis went down I was like “oh no this could be terrible”. She was like “no, he’s the enemy”. I laughed but also was little freaked out.

I’ve been watching so many Celtics games over the past couple of years — and I look like I’m having fun while watching — that my wife has slowly become a Celtics fan. She knew nothing about basketball or the Celtics before this.

She’s come to appreciate the guys who do the dirty work, so her favorite players are Marcus and Al. It’s really awesome to watch her get excited whenever one of them makes an underrated play.

And the bonus is, she’s a middle school teacher, so she gets some respect from her students because she’s able to talk a little bit of NBA with them. 😄

Jaylen has received the consideration he’s due

I know he’s mostly been in Maine this season so your mom gets a pass, but JD Davison is clearly hair.

Huh can anyone think of something for jaylen that rhymes with ‘red shoes’ ? /s

I’ll see myself out, jaylen is my dude but the joke was too easy

Any player with Tatum’s performance and skillset would be called superstar but he is “super dad” instead because Deuce is the star.

My mom has turned similar but over a much longer time since I started loving basketball at the age of 4 and now 41. We recently had a minor trade deadline discussion about acquiring Mike Muscala and what it meant to the team to not give up much. And she said later, “How many guys can do that with their mom? It’s probably rare.” And it probably is! 😁

You’ve heard of Michael “air” Jordan, get ready for Robert “Hair” Williams III

My mom’s now a Celtics fan after years of seeing me watch games. She loves Marcus Smart and Payton Pritchard the most

This is amazing. This is exactly what my grandmother would do if she was to watch haha

Oh my God, this is like my 65 year old Mom who has gotten super into the team the past 3 or so years. She also keeps notes, it’s adorable!

Al’s description should be “the one with the pretty eyes.”
