NBA Analysis (on Gobert/Wiggins Trade):
During his years on the Utah Jazz, the organization frequently skimped on solid perimeter defenders with the logic that Gobert could cover for them. In Minnesota, he’s stuck making up for Karl-Anthony Towns. In Golden State, Gobert could finally find solace. He’d be teaming up with Draymond Green in the front court. Moreover, his penchant for collecting screen assists makes him a natural fit in this offense.

NBA Analysis Idea:
Warriors Receive: Rudy Gobert (C)
Timberwolves Receive: Andrew Wiggins (F/G)

  1. I would love gobert just use him for rebounds and defense for sure curry would like him and klay after missed 3point shot gobert will do offensive rebound

  2. Love makes a ton of sense, essentially a better version of Bjelica, but mainly he'd help in every minute he's in where Looney/Draymond doesnt have to push/shove against 6'10+/240lb+ guys for positioning/screens/reounding. The more minutes Love/Jgreen play against big men means Dray and Loon wont be using so much energy trying to play against bigger players.

i'd be cool with Love or if Thaddeus Young/Nerlens Noel gets bought out. Young fits the size Kerr prefers, as it's clear he'd rather have a few 6'8-6'9 guys that can defend multiple positions and keep up pace as opposed to big slow traditional bigs. Noel is 6'11 but he's definitely more athletic than those other names and should provide help defensively as an alley oop/tip-in guy not unlike JaVale McGee's role with GSW.

NO GOBERT, he cant keep up with Kerr's desired pace, and isn't the passer/switchable defender Kerr prefers in bigger players.
Kerr's the type to prefer Giannis over Jokic, Adebayo over Embiid, Siakam over Ayton, etc.
Guys that wont be targeted by opposing guards, essentially. Kerr would much rather have a Prime Paul Millsap over a prime Rudy Gobert any day of the week. Prime Al Horford over prime Joel Embiid. He wants high IQ power forwards.

If Ben Simmons was mentally content with being a high end role player, he'd be ideal. Top notch passing and defense, and on paper he'd make a ton of sense for Golden State in a Draymond role. If Ben Simmons came to Golden State, he'd instantly be their biggest player. He's an inch taller and nearly 20lbs heavier than Kevon Looney, yet Looney gets far more rebounds in fewer minutes, and thats all about how these players see themselves. If Ben wanted to, he could be an elite center in today's game. However he seems to insist that he's a big wing. It seems like he may think too highly of himself to matchup with bigs and fight for rebounds. He needs to decide: either attempt a 3pt shot once per quarter, or accept being a starting center.

I mean, he could easily be a 15/10/10 guy if he replaced Draymond, and with other solid defenders like GP2 and Wigs he may earn another couple All Star nods but he has to buy in and ask himself "what can i do to help a team win" instead of "what am i comfortable doing".

If he accepted a move to the 5 spot, he wouldn't need to shoot 3's. there are dozens of bigs who don't shoot but because they're willing to use their size to battle in the paint they don't need to add an outside shot.

I've always thought Draymond would've been a 10x All Star if he was 6'9 or 6'10, and while Ben IS 6'10 and possesses elite defense and ball handling/passing, I don't think there are any two players in the league further apart when it comes to their mindsets/motivations/mentality

  3. Warriors ain't gonna do Nothing like the PATHETIC Front office they are !
