Embiid can be "that" guy, but it's all about the "others". The "others" are not consistent enough. The team lacks athletic wings, with size, who can defend AND score 15-20 points consistently, (Tobias Harris is to soft) and a good coach NOT name Doc Rivers.
Tobias Harris needs to help in the playoffs and not score 8 points 😂
Ime udoka or mike D’Antoni will get hired in this offseason guarantee it !! Also with Tobias contract 37 mil which Elton brand gave daryl hands are tied on what he could really do with the team honestly I expect daryl to make some big moves either this offseason or by the nxt trade deadline unloading Tobias and filling that roster with 2-3 more quailty 3 and D players and a back up big !

Man there's no doubt in my mind that the sixers are contenders. We can compete with anyone, and outside of the Celtics I'm not really scared of any other team. I'm praying that Embiid doesn't have any freak injuries. I truly believe we would have beaten the heat in 6 games if not for Embiid getting his face broken by Siakam. Even with Harden hurt I think we would have won that series.
Did he say that a player like Embiid might need more than a player like KD? KD needed everything to win his championships, haha. I don't think anyone has needed more than KD. And now he's on the Suns with Booker, cp3, and ayton.
Why Jay trying to force Embiid out of Philly? The Lillard's situation doesn't compare to Embiid. Lillard has never had a contender. Daryl Morey literally had to spend his first 2 seasons fixing the past management mistakes. Their logic doesn't make sense. Why can't Embiid be the guy in the last 6 minutes and harden do more in the 3rd or earlier in the game. As long as you can score at the end of the game. We literally just saw Embiid carry the team in the last 6 minutes to put the Cavs away.

Embiid is money at the end of games. HE'S THE COSER. Problem is, can you win when he gets clocked in the eye, gets dysnitary, or breaks his face on a teammate? Would be helpful if Harden didn't shrink so often in crunch time.

Sixers are a good team, but they're not as complete as the Celtics and Bucks. Embiid is also not the most durable player in the NBA

Embiid is a great player – but he's not good enough (or right kind) of a player to win it on his own, and he's incapable of making his team better, so to win something.
He's the opposite of what MVP means/is.

They should have kept Jimmy and traded Tobias, he’s too inconsistent. Trade him for a 3&D guy and a big. Imagine if they had Jimmy right now with harden. It would work because Jimmy can play off the ball and is a good defender.

I think any team that's looking for Harden to be their main closer is in trouble. At his age and health I don't think he can reliably be that guy even if he wanted to, which he doesn't.
Embiid should maybe try not be injured every few weeks dude fragile asf and und the playoffs his numbers go down….it's every year the same and ppl act like it's surprising….
