I mean ya. Would you rather have a possible 10 more years of a possible budding superstar (who’s already basicaly consensus top 15-20) or like MAAAAAYBE 2 years of KD.

I honestly think the whole summer saga of Jaylen for KD was just the Nets throwing shit out there to up the asking price. I don’t know, it never felt like it had any real weight to it.

Love to hear that the org is communicating directly with him about this stuff

  4. B..bbbut Tony Mazz said Jaylen sat a game and that was suspicious timing b/c he was going to Brooklyn for KD…

The one good thing Kyrie Irving did for this team was drilling it into the heads of ownership and management that roster building isn’t just about amassing as much talent as possible, and that adding another star doesn’t always mean a better team.

Danny did a lot of good things, but it seemed like he got so caught up in the idea of going after extra stars to make a super team, and he ended up neutering a really strong culture we had been building through the 2010s.

We absolutely had the assets to go after a third star over the last couple years, but instead Brad spent those assets on Brogdon and White. Especially at the time of the White trade that was very much against the post-Heatles conventional wisdom, and is the kind of decision that other owners definitely push back on because they want to spend their money on stars.

Sounds like they never actually offered JB in a trade for KD exactly like a lot of us said. So those people insisting that they were willing to trade him were talking out of their ass.

Love to hear it. As far as I know Jaylen has never once said anything other than “I want to be in Boston”, and he’s gotten better every year.

The Jays are *just* beginning to enter their prime, and they’re both all star/ all NBA level two way players that want to play with each other. Splitting them up would be so astronomically stupid.

I think most people figured that the JB for KD trade rumors were coming from the Nets’ side of things, and this pretty much confirms it.

Who hell put that rumor out there in the first place?

Well… That will kill 4 Hrs. of Felger and Mazz. for the near future. Thank God.

I really like Wyc, someone tell me why I shouldn’t

Never believed it for a second, if it was going to happen it would have been the off-season before last year, not after all the success ofast and this year.

Any insight on what his return timeline is? I’ve seen reports where he might not need surgery.

Chris Curtis is producing the show remotely from Florida and still uses the John Dennis approach to interviews.
