The Nets Are Primed To Land ANOTHER Star After Kyrie, KD Trades

The Brooklyn Nets were on the losing end of a deal that included a generational superstar only days after trading Kyrie Irving. But in trading two stars, the Nets have set themselves up to … land another star.

  1. they have a lot of 3 and D players and a defensive anchor with Claxton. They need a superstar guard who can finish at the rim, and shoot clutch threes… I think there's someone in the west who can be FA this season. Who that might be? He will be a fit!

  2. Personally id rather build around cam thomas, claxton and bridges and see where we are in 2 yrs. I like the core and i'd rather have some homegrown guys. Im sick of rentals. Let's build it at home first and then when we have a foundation with 1 or 2 homegrown stars we can bring in a final piece to take us over the top

  3. Honestly, I think in terms of the longer picture the Brooklyn Nets came out of this absolutely phenomenal. But for the next maybe two to three years I would say that they're going to be in a awkward spot.

  4. They'll most likely go into asset acquriing mode like the Thunder or Jazz. That's the best course of action especially having young stars like Claxton and Bridges you wanna build around them

  5. I love how everyone is ignoring that the Nets have a max salary player on their books for two more years that is literally afraid of playing basketball

  6. If that star does come, it's not coming until Ben Simmons is off the books AT LEAST. They own none of their own draft picks, and those Suns picks have no value until way down the line, and even then with Booker, they may not be valuable. The Nets screwed themselves over with the KD/Kyrie saga, it's going to be years until they even get the chance.

  7. The Nets should've learned a harsh lesson from chasing stars. They, sometime, come with baggage that's detrimental to the success of their franchise. KD/Harden/Kyrie are excellent examples It's old fashioned but I think the Nets should draft and mold players into their system. The first order of business is to fire Sean Marks for being the GM of the biggest failure in the history of the league. Had he been black, he would have been fired soon after the Nets were swept by the Celtics last season. Should Marks keep his job, it'll give the impression that there's a double standard for reward and punishment based on one's race. To, perhaps most black people, it's more a fact than an impression.

  8. I don't think players will wanna go to the nets after harden, kd and Kyrie all left

  9. The Nets problem is the Owner's behavior, not so much on players nor the coaches and their staffs. there's a need to recalibrate that issue in the organization. the Conditions alone imposed by Tsai to Erving for his anti Semitic issue DISTROY the whole nets future for championship because that was really unfair for players … then it follows another championship clause for him to re contract which is clear unfair. So unless they fix that issue, Nets is not a good team ever for a future stars.

  10. After two underwhelming and underperforming eras of basketball, I think the Brooklyn Nets might be done with superteams 😂
