Wishful thinking that there is some method to this madness rather than gross incompetence but I wouldn't bet on it. No real value in the returns for these two players especially considering what other teams were able to generate in their trades. If this is a pivot to playing the younger players, perhaps this was Mitch forcing Clifford's hands but if he doesn't sit Hayward, Oubre and Rozier then you can expect his departure voluntarily or involuntarily. Still don't think the NBA will allow Wembamyama to be drafted to the Charlotte market. We've already seen what Mitch does with multiple first round picks. Root for Scoot!

Don't know how much 2nd round picks matter to be honest. The fact that teams are willing to include 4 first round picks for a franchise player just shows you the worth of proven NBA players vs insignificance of draft picks which is akin to gambling on a players physical ability/coachability/mental toughness/outside baggage etc. Just look at Bouknight and Kai Jones….. non top 5 first round picks RARELY produces results.
They should have just blown it up. Terry, oubre, Plumlee, and Hayward could have secured at least a first round draft pick and a star center.
Would've loved to see Hayward trades, but obviously not gonna happen. Tbh I'm not a huge fan of Terry and Plumlee (when he's the main option), so good that they traded Plumlee, but I would've like to see Terry traded too. If he isn't hot on a night, then he's not an asset. Let the young guys cook
