Podcast: James Wiseman's Pistons Debut, a Potential Jerami Grant Reunion with Detroit in Free Agency

On this week’s edition of the Palace of Pistons Podcast, Mike Anguilano and Aaron Johnson are back to discuss the latest surronding the Detroit Pistons. First, the guys breakdown James Wiseman’s debut with the Pistons earlier this week against the Boston Celtics. They react to his performance on both the offensive and defensive end of the court and discuss if his play on Wednesday impacted their viewpoint of the trade moving forward. Mike and Aaron also analyze a report from The Athletic that hinted at a possible reunion between the Detroit Pistons and Jerami Grant in free agency this summer. They discuss the fit, contract, and overall likelihood of Jerami Grant returning to Detroit.

  1. Bro the guy hasn't played. He's played less min than Duran how are you coming up with these sweeping thoughts. All I'm saying is let your preconceived notions go and give the guy a shot. You guys were so down on it that you couldn't even give correct analysis of the game defensively. Wiseman switched multiple times and did not get beat of the dribble during now Tatum was unreal in that 3rd qtr but every time Wiseman switched on him he was there and contested he never got beat off dribble by Tatum. Who was cooking Stu. Tatum was just making tough shots over Wiseman and that can't be helped with a guy like Tatum. Multiple time when Wiseman was in the game the penatrator would end up dumping the ball off if Wiseman was in position. The skill is there. Stop being so jaded.

  2. clearly these guys haven’t seen Wiseman play with the Warriors. i have seen most of the games he’s played and i watch damn near all of the Warriors games every season ..

Wiseman and Duren should be able to work because guess what ? Wiseman can stretch the floor as a 5 / he’s fluid and swift for a man his size .

Bagley and Noel will be moved . so as for the Pistons future it’s more like Wiseman / Duren / Stewart / Ivey / Cunningham and whomever they select in the Lottery this year ..

  3. It’s funny they are worried about Wiseman defense but love Bogdanovic. Then they say Grant was a black hole on offense but his assist ave is higher than Bogdanovic and he actually plays really good defense.

  4. Shid I was more excited and encouraged by his defense, Wiseman was very impactful on defense for the most part, he controlled the paint when he was in there, Detroit is better defensively with the addition of Wiseman

  5. I'm glad these guys don't make decisions for the Pistons, they're IQ regarding this topic is way off…smh
