What place do you predict the Los Angeles Lakers will finish with this season and what’s their record?!
We need to see how good Lakers play against a good team first and Lakers have to win in order for me to have hope in them
Gonna reserve my optimism with this team until they can keep winning at least 6 more times with this lineup.
I’d take 2 or 3 Vanderbilt’s over 5 Lonnie Walkers or Malik Monk.
Serious defense wins in the end. That’s why the very best pickup in the buyout is Stanley Johnson and then Kevin Love. Their game last night exposed three areas they need to improve
#1 Rebounding and not allowing the other team offensive rebounds
#2 Free throw shots are FREE
#3 three pt shooting, it’s hard to beat teams that shoot 20+ threes when you only make 10. Also twos are still good.

Then I’d play Stanley in the starting lineup with Vanderbilt, Russel, AD and LBJ. Then you have a starting lineup to battle the likes of Suns, Boston and the Bucks.

As soon as I saw rhe trade I felt the Lakers would make the playoffs. If they stay healthy I think they will get the 8th spot. The blazers , jazz, are done on a rebuild. The timberwolves need more offence, the thunder are young, when will curry and zion be back on the warriors and pelicans?
Our strength on offense is the 3 man pick n roll between DLo, Bron and AD. When it breaks down you can put it to the post and have cutters. The defense either needs to collapse, leading to an open 3 somewhere, or stay leading to an iso post move or a pass to a cutter. Our offense is at it's worst when it's 1 post iso guy + 4 ball watchers.
time is not on Lakers side now, with a little room left for errors, they should make most out of it, let's just hope for the best!

STOP blaming the coaches for poor play. Until 2 weeks ago the Lakers were one of the oldest teams in the NBA. Davis is been out. James has been out. The for Lakers is not coaching. Otherwise they would have kept the coach that took them to their CHIP. This happens everywhere James goes. And thats why he's no longer in Maimi.
Lonnie Walker should not be playing with the garbage squad. Especially when TBJ is literally the most average roll player on the team.
DLO is the perfect piece to the Lakers big 3 puzzle. Someone had to offset Bron and AD’s rougher play styles with his finesse and shooting. Dlo can average the same numbers Russ did in LA and it’d actually produce more wins cause he’s efficient plus Bron and AD will actually amplify his game and he’ll definitely do the same for them. This is what I wanted them to do fill the roster with depth. They managed to do that along with getting Dlo an all star and keep Walker,Reaves, and Christe.
Lakers shouldnt have LBJ, DLO and DS on the court at the same time.

On schroeders vlog he said that Darvin told him coming off the bench will be best for him cuz he’ll have the ball in his hands more instead of having to share when he starts w ad, bron, and dlo. I 100% agree w it and Schroeder had no problem w it which makes it even better. This is gonna be a long week without lakers basketball, can’t wait to see this team again😂
This team with new guy is greater than the old with russ. Its their first game with a complete line up ang grab the win than the old team went from 2-10 on the start of the season.

Look at the schedules of Portland, Utah, OKC, GS, Min, NO, and DAL….. all of the have the potential of losing 9 games…. If, this is a BIG IF, if the Lakers can win 18-19 of their final games they can easily slide up to the 6th seed.
Perfect lineup if the can add Kevin love for more floor spacing and play him alongside Bamba or AD for some minutes or even if AD rest some nights where love is the center that would make us unstoppable.
They can go on a 13 winning game streak
Denis Schroder needs to not be playing all this minutes, off the bench with some shooters around him plus bamba which i feel will complement him better than Davis. Walker could get some of Schroder minutes. And I keeping that starting line up of last game. Reaves could come in for Beasley at times.
43-39 is my prediction and 6-th seed on Western Conference.

this trade was a game changer. I can see the chemistry that was quickly built with AD, LBJ and DLo. All they need to do now is a make it to the play in tournament.

Lakers did lose alot of close games. That was on the front office and LeBorn fault last season.

Vanderbilt 26 Mins – Rui Mins base off mins given to SF spot maybe 20 Mins plus couple mins from SF
AD 34 Mins – Mo Bamba 14 Mins

Odd man out is Troy Brown. Maybe Walker and Weyan depends on injuries
What the Lakers need to understand is:
If the Chemistry is found and they start playing really well, they might be looking at a RING. (provide AD stays healthy)
Which is much more likely, given the extra help he is now having.

The problem with Vogel wasn’t even his fault. His problem was the Lakers didn’t give him free range to make the decisions. He couldn’t even select his own coaching staff. And worse of all, they wouldn’t let him make Westbrook come off the bench. And now all of a sudden, they give that authority to a FIRST TIME COACH (Darvin Ham) instead to a coach who WON YOU A CHAMPIONSHIP (Frank Vogel)?! And then they let Darvin make Russ come off the bench? And he gets free range? Makes zero sense. Vogel was never the problem
I’ve noticed that a lot of “good shooters” have a hard time once they sign with the Lakers.
