I gotta imagine this is because he gets help on defense. He’s okay against smaller guards, but there’s something else going on with this stat

Interesting but I think it needs a deeper dive to see the actual affect he has on players. Impressive nonetheless for someone people mostly associate with offence.
His on-ball defence has looked improved from the first few years but there are still issues with activity on the off-ball defensive end.

We have one of the best help defenses and Ja usually guards the worst perimeter player, but its still good that he holds his own
