Imo the all star game in slc came and went and I did watch some of it. Post Malone performed good and I know nothing about …the other performers were not appealing to me and didn’t really know their music and brand.

Crazy part is I did not here these two live but it is being talked about on the month show. Understand what Jake and Monty are upset about. Most of these things are after the fact which means blame tnt. Blame the nba. Blame Ryan Smith. The reality is it doesn’t do anything for me to blame or focus on such distractions. You can be upset like jack and Monty but does it really matter? For most it does not. It would be nice for Shaq and Chuck to grow 🆙 hehe 😜 not like they aren’t huge tall dudes. In their defense, their employer likes there style and pays them for such commentary. Shaq does nice things in his community. That’s the bigger problem is their example influences lots of people. TNT should be fined $. All Star game is to promote your City. That money spent to bring the game to your city is to create future revenue. How much do those remarks affect that future revenue?
Your take is exactly right. It doesn't matter what Utahns think about what Barkley's and Shaq said. It's what the rest of the country thinks about what they said. It hurts the image of Utah, that has been getting hammered for the last few years

I went to the inside the nba broadcast and honestly I wasn’t impressed with any one of them. They had this we’re too good for everyone we’re just here for our show vibes. I was disappointed because I thought Charles would be a lot more down to earth with how much love everyone showed him. Shaq was also a joke of a person. There was no fan interaction at all except for a couple who had a pair of Kenny’s shoes so they did a short segment on that. I sadly lost respect for all four of them even Ernie Johnson

Thanks for sticking up for Utah but it is what it is. Utah isn't everyone's cup of tea. Just like bigger cities like LA isn't everyone's cup of tea.
Unfortunately, it clearly shows what all networks have been hiding for decades that most ex-sports figures, used to make sports funny, are deeply rooted in behavior detrimental to everything family oriented, including Republics and even Democracies that espouse God given rights.
It’s not just Utah. They joke so much about the ladies in San Antonio and other cities.
Lifetime Utah resident here. We are a state who is controlled by one religion and yes the culture here is bland and deserves to be made fun of by people who aren't from here. It is our culture that made Utah a joke from the beginning. Remember the mormons settled here when it was Mexican territory because they got ran out of the U.S. after Joseph Smith was on trial for treason. The only embarrassing part is that most Utahns won't admit that we are pretty frickin weird and deserve the jokes.
