False because no way Ben was ever that confident in his free throw abilities
I don’t care if it’s fake, I enjoy it immensely. Call it fan fiction. 🙂
Man at this point people gotta leave the guy alone. He’s clearly broken mentally as a player and he probably feels worse about it than anyone else does, no sense in piling on.
This feels like bullshit but I have faith that Ben will find a way to pass during a free throw.
I thought this was common knowledge. The Wizards kept fouling him, he missed a bunch of free throws, and then me and a couple other users said it would be an issue going forward and we all got called idiots because Ben put up a 15 assist and 15 Rebound game so free throws apparently didn’t matter.
That’s cash money for Beal right there 💀💀💀
You know what. This is exactly the Ben Brooklyn wishes they had. At least this Ben didn’t have his spirit broken.
I was at this game, I think he shot 21 free throws in the 4th quarter. It almost worked too the wizards were down by 20+ and cut it to singles digits. It was brutal
This is even more funny because during Ben’s rookie deal, the wizards did this during a game and almost won. Brett played him down the stretch (even though the game couldve ended much easier and earlier) because it was a hurdle that he would eventually need to overcome. I believe he set the record for most free throw attempts in a game
Nothing a summer shootout hype video can’t fix.
This chick on Twitter called him the biggest bust ever. Probably started watching ball this season. This is a hilarious story though.
The thing is, hitting 50% of the free throws is acceptable. It’s still 1.0 PPP, which is acceptable offense. If he got that to 60% it’s basically fine.
The problem in that particular game was that Ben was hitting 50% of his free throws while our defense was allowing the Wizards to make 9000% of their three pointers. It really wasn’t Ben’s fault that game got so close; it was the whole defense’s fault.
But, that game was the beginning of the end of Ben Simmons. The thing that’s broken in his brain first cracked that night.
Name one player with a stranger career arc than Ben Simmons or Markelle Fultz
I was at the 2017 game where Ben shot 29 free throws. It was an excruciating experience even with the win.
